White Sox pitcher Scott Carroll got blasted by the Mariners in Seattle on Thursday, dropping to 4-7 on the year. The right-hander coughed up seven runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three over five innings of a 13-3 defeat.

Over his last two starts covering 12 innings, Carroll has allowed 11 earned runs. He owns a 4.81 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP. He will look to pick up the pieces Wednesday at San Francisco.
