The Nationals are considering recalling outfielder/first baseman Tyler Moore before rosters expand in September, one source told MLB.com.
"The sooner the better," the source added.
If Moore returns to Washington, he could see more playing time than before. Moore could start in left field against left-handed pitchers, moving Bryce Harper to center field on those nights.
Moore has been a changed hitter since his demotion to Triple-A in early July. He hit .394 with four home runs, five doubles and 18 RBI in 17 July games following his demotion, and he's batting .292 with two home runs, three doubles and nine RBI in six August games.
