Victor Martinez returned to the field for the first time this spring in a Tigers' minor league game on Saturday.
Martinez has been rehabbing from knee surgery. He hit a home run in six plate appearances in the minor league game.
Martinez said he thought he'd be able to play for the Tigers on Sunday, according to Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press.
It was the best that Martinez has felt running the bases all spring, he said, and he felt better than he thought he would.
