The Cubs are hosting the Cardinals in Game 3 of the NLDS. It was a 7-4 lead through six innings for the Cubs, thanks to some serious power on display from their youngsters.

Kyle Schwarber got things started in the second with a solo homer. Starlin Castro -- who is a veteran but is still in his age-25 season -- added a solo shot of his own to tie things up in the fourth.

With a 2-2 tie in the fifth and Jake Arrieta clearly not his best self, likely NL Rookie of the Year Kris Bryant went deep:

The two-run shot made it 4-2 and chased Cardinals starter Michael Wacha from the game. Kyle Siegrist was summoned to face Anthony Rizzo (like Castro, still in his age-25 season) and it did not go well for the Redbirds.

That's back to back shots to make it 5-2. A two-run homer by Jason Heyward in the top of the sixth would cut the lead to one, but then Jorge Soler (another rookie) came through with a two-run shot in the bottom half.

With Soler, Bryant and Schwarber, the Cubs have the youngest trio of teammates to homer in a postseason game in baseball history.
