Padres first baseman Yonder Alonso was removed from Tuesday's game due to a right forearm strain, the team announced.
Alonso walked and scored a run in his only plate appearance before coming out of the game. He has hit .240/.285/.397 with seven home runs, 27 RBI and six stolen bases in 267 at-bats.
