Michael Baron@michaelgbaron13H agoThe #Mets lost RHP Mike Vasil to the Phils and LHP Nate Lavender to the Rays in the Rule 5 Draft. Vasil struggled in AAA in 2024 after a promising year overall in 2023 in the minor leagues. But he's still young.

Anthony DiComo@AnthonyDiComo14H agoNews: the Mets lost pitcher Mike Vasil to the Phillies in the Rule 5 Draft. As recently as a year ago, many considered Vasil the top pitching prospect in NYM's system, but he put up a 6.04 ERA this summer at Triple-A. He'll need to stick the whole year in MLB with his new club.
