Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Hammers fourth homer
Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Mets.
Hernandez's four homers have all come over his last nine games, helping the outfielder shake off a slightly slow start to the year. He's now batting .310 with a .918 OPS, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored, three doubles and a stolen base across 16 games. The 33-year-old outfielder has already received a couple of rest days this season, and the Dodgers' depth on offense will likely lead to that happening semi-regularly, especially once the team gets closer to full health.

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Taking seat Sunday
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
Hernandez started the previous six games and continued his hot start to 2026 with three homers and a 1.042 OPS during that span. Alex Call is receiving the start in center field Sunday, batting eighth.

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Continues strong start to season
Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional run and a double in Saturday's 6-3 victory against the Rangers.
Hernandez broke a 1-1 tie and gave Los Angeles a lead it would never lose with a three-run blast off Jack Leiter in the first inning. The slugger was in a mini three-game slump coming into Saturday, going 1-for-11 with four strikeouts over that span, but he's been very good overall at the outset of the campaign. Hernandez is slashing .306/.327/.531 with three home runs, 11 RBI. 10 runs and a stolen base through 13 games.

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Belts first homer of 2026
Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in an 8-6 win against Washington on Sunday.
Hernandez got the day off Saturday and responded with a big performance one day later. The veteran slugger notched his first long ball of the campaign in the ninth inning, extending the Dodgers' lead to two runs and giving closer Edwin Diaz a little more cushion. Though the long ball was just the second extra-base hit of the campaign for Hernandez, he's swung the bat well overall, slashing .345/.367/.483 through 30 plate appearances.

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Swats fourth spring homer
Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a home run, two total runs and three total RBI in Sunday's exhibition win over the Angels.
Hernandez put the Dodgers on the board in the third inning with a solo shot to right-center field. He added a two-run single in the third. The veteran outfielder has swung a hot bat this spring, slashing .457/.490/.804 with four home runs (tied for most on the team), four doubles, 12 runs and a team-leading 20 RBI over 17 games. Hernandez said in mid-February that he played through a groin issue much of last season, which may have been a factor in his OPS dropping over 100 points (to .738) from the previous campaign. A healthy Hernandez could be in store for a rebound year, though he was still pretty productive during the 2025 regular season, recording 25 home runs, 89 RBI, 65 runs and five stolen bases over 134 contests.

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Played through nagging groin issue
Hernandez admitted Tuesday that he played through a left groin injury for much of the 2025 season, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Hernandez missed just two weeks of action after straining his groin in early May, but he acknowledged he "wasn't moving the way I know I can move" for the remainder of the season. The veteran outfielder was slashing .306/.329/.582 with a 149 wRC+ when he was hurt and then hit only .225/.271/.408 with an 86 wRC+ the rest of the way, so it's fair to suggest the injury affected his performance. The 33-year-old Hernandez is fully healthy now in Dodgers camp and looking for a bounce-back 2026 campaign.

Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Smacks go-ahead three-run homer
Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Phillies in Game 1 of the National League Division Series.
Hernandez struck out in each of his first three plate appearances while facing Cristopher Sanchez, but the Dodgers cracked the code in the sixth inning and were able to get Sanchez out of the game. With Los Angeles trailing 3-2 in the top of the seventh, Hernandez clubbed a three-run homer off Matt Strahm into the bleachers in right-center to give the Dodgers the lead. Through three playoff games, Hernandez is hitting .357 with three home runs and nine RBI, good for a 1.077 OPS.
