He's 2 RBIs from tying Eddie Mathews' all-time franchise record in 1953, when Mathews hit .302 w/ 47 HRs, 1.003 OPS at 21 and was MVP runner-up.

David O'Brien@DOBrienATL1D agoSpencer Strider, who leads MLB in strikeouts by a wide margin with 270 in 176 innings, tonight can break John Smoltz's modern-era #Braves record of 276 Ks, which the Hall of Famer got in 253 2/3 innings in 1996. Smoltz was 24-8 w/ a 2.94 ERA in 35 starts and won the NL Cy Young.
