Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Swats pair of homers
Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a pair of two-run home runs in Friday's 7-6 loss to the Royals.
Rodriguez doubled his homer total for the year with this performance, though it wasn't enough to get the Mariners a win. The outfielder has warmed up with six multi-hit efforts over his last 10 contests, a span that includes three of his four homers for the year. Rodriguez is batting .262 with a .733 OPS, 16 RBI, 16 runs scored, six doubles and three stolen bases over 33 games. He's usually been a slow starter during his career, so this power surge could be a sign he's about to fully break out.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Racks up three doubles Tuesday
Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with three doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Twins.
After starting the night 0-for-2, Rodriguez caught fire, ripping three straight doubles, including a two-run knock in the ninth inning. The outburst continues a strong stretch at the plate, as he has now recorded a hit in 10 of his last 12 games, with five multi-hit efforts in that span. While the power numbers are still building, Rodriguez is finding his rhythm and is now slashing .256/.333/.355 with two homers, six doubles and 12 RBI across 121 plate appearances.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Productive in wild win
Rodriguez went 3-for-6 with a two-run home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 11-9 win over the Cardinals.
The two teams combined for eight homers on the afternoon, and Rodriguez got the fireworks started by crushing a Matthew Liberatore slider into the second deck in the first inning. Rodriguez had a sluggish start to the season, but he's quickly shaken that off and is batting .352 (19-for-54) with two homers, three steals, seven runs and eight RBI over the last 14 games.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Steals first base of season in win
Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with an RBI, one walk and a stolen base in Sunday's 6-1 win over the Astros.
After hitting his first home run of the season Saturday, Rodriguez recorded his second straight multi-hit game and third of the season Sunday. He also recorded his first stolen base of the campaign, swiping second in the eighth inning. It's been a tough start to the season for multiple Mariners, including Rodriguez, who is slashing .194/.286/.258 with the one homer, five RBI, six runs scored, one steal and a 7:19 BB:K across 70 plate appearances.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Gets off schneid with first homer
Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double Saturday in an 8-7 win against the Astros.
It's been a rough start to the campaign for Rodriguez, who entered Saturday batting a measly .148 with no extra-base hits or stolen bases and just two RBI through 14 games. The star outfielder finally got things going against Houston, collecting his first two extra-base hits -- a double in the first inning and a big two-run blast in the fifth that tied the score 7-7. Fantasy managers who roster Rodriguez likely made a big investment in him, so there's understandably been some frustration about how his season has started. However, he's been a slow starter throughout his career and has still managed to go 20-20 in each of his first four MLB seasons (with two of those being 30-30 campaigns), so it probably wouldn't be wise to sell low on him.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Batting .533 in spring
Rodriguez went 3-for-3 with a home run, three total runs scored and three RBI in Friday's 20-8 Cactus League victory over the Guardians.
Rodriguez joined the Mariners' power barrage Friday with his first homer of the spring, a two-run, 431-foot blast off Logan Allen in the fourth inning. The star outfielder certainly appears ready for the regular season -- he's now batting .533 (8-for-15) through six Cactus League games, bookending a trip to the World Baseball Classic, where he went 3-for-17 with a home run for the Dominican Republic.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Red hot to start spring
Rodriguez went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday's Cactus League game against the White Sox.
Rodriguez hasn't shown any signs of rust to start the spring -- the outfielder is now 4-for-7 with a pair of doubles in his first three Cactus League games. Rodriguez should continue to see regular at-bats with the Mariners early in the spring before he reports to the World Baseball Classic with the Dominican Republic. Rodriguez slashed .267/.324/.474 during the 2025 regular season while joining the 30-30 club for the second time in his career, logging 32 homers and 30 stolen bases.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Elevated to leadoff spot for Game 5
Rodriguez will start in center field and bat leadoff in Friday's ALCS Game 5 versus the Blue Jays.
The Mariners tweaked their lineup in Game 4 and are shaking it up further for Game 5 after the Blue Jays evened the series Thursday. It's the first time since late July that Rodriguez has batted leadoff for Seattle. Randy Arozarena -- who had batted leadoff in every one of his starts since July 31 -- has been bumped down to the No. 5 spot.
