    Cruz was transferred from Double-A Erie's 7-day injured list to the full-season injured list after undergoing Tommy John internal brace surgery on his right elbow Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports. The 26-year-old suffered the injury while going through pre-game work in mid-August. As a position player, Cruz's recovery timeline from the procedure will be much shorter than that of a pitcher, but he may still be sidelined for the start of the 2025 campaign.
