Rays manager Kevin Cash said Friday that Simpson (foot) is good to go for the ALDS against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Simpson was held out of the last couple regular-season games as he battled a sore right foot, but he feels fine after a week of rest. The speedy outfielder slashed .306/.333/.356 with 46 stolen bases for the Rays this season and will be deployed in left field by the American League East champs.

Rays' Chandler Simpson: Unlikely to play until ALDS opener
Simpson (foot) is not playing in Saturday's game against the Phillies and is unlikely to play in Sunday's regular-season finale, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Simpson was pulled early from Friday's game after fouling a ball off his right foot in the sixth inning. He told reporters Saturday that his foot was "just a little sore," but it looks like the speedy outfielder will be sidelined until Game 1 of the American League Divisional Series on Oct. 3. If that's the case, then Simpson will finish the regular season with a .306/.333/.356 slash line with 46 steals (on 60 attempts), 38 RBI, 22 extra-base hits (no home runs) and 66 runs scored across 612 plate appearances.

He is now tied with Nasim Nunez for the major-league lead with 46 stolen bases and ranks second in the American League with a .309 batting average while recording 38 RBI and 65 runs scored across 597 plate appearances this season.

Simpson was one of three Rays batters to smack an RBI double off Brady Basso, and the former showed off his speed with a steal in the third inning of Wednesday's win.
