Santana has yet to reach the majors. His .311/.331/.444 slash line in 91 games for Triple-Oklahoma City last season looks strong on the surface but was good for just a 90 wRC+ considering the high-scoring environment he played in. Given that he's been strictly a corner infielder since 2018, that leaves him as a fringe prospect at best.

Santana was removed from the Dodgers' spring training roster along with six other players Sunday. The 23-year-old third baseman posted a .301/.320/.436 slash line with 57 RBI and 45 runs scored across 102 games with Double-A Tulsa in 2019.

Santana is now up to eight round trippers for the season, leaving him two shy of matching his total from 2017. The 21-year-old, who has split time at both corner-infield spots this season, is hitting .262/.263/.411 over 54 games. That equates to below-average production (87 wRC+) after accounting for the favorable park factors of the California League.
