Rockies' Jameson Hannah: Homers in spring loss
Hannah went 1-for-1 with a three-run home run in Monday's spring loss to the Reds.
Hannah was traded from the Reds to the Rockies in November as part of the deal to send Jeff Hoffman to Cincinnati, and he blasted a home run against his former team in the seventh inning of Monday's Cactus League loss. He was dealt from the Athletics to the Reds in July 2019, and he'll now join yet another organization ahead of the 2021 season.... See More ... See Less

He hit .283/.341/.381 (103 wRC+) with two home runs and six steals in 92 games with High-A Stockton. Hannah probably profiles as an extra outfielder unless he starts tapping into more power.... Athletics' Jameson Hannah: Opens at High-A
Hannah will open the year with High-A Stockton, Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com reports.
This is a pretty aggressive assignment for a player who only faced short-season pitching after getting drafted with the 50th overall pick in last year's draft. That said, Hannah is already 21 and would be old for Low-A, and this will allow him to bypass the less-than-ideal April weather of the Midwest League.... See More ... See Less
