Royals' Bobby Witt: Belts game-winning three-run homer
Witt went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and a stolen base in a 4-1 extra-inning win over the Athletics on Tuesday.
Witt was 0-for-4 when he came up to the plate with a pair of runners on base in the top of the 10th frame, and he cleared the bases with a three-run blast to right-center field. The long ball was his second in his past two games after he began the campaign going homerless over his first 27 contests. The power had been the primary thing preventing Witt from meeting fantasy managers' expectations, as he's slashing .289/.362/.439 with 10 stolen bases and 15 RBI through 29 games. If he indeed has his power stroke back, Witt could very well end up a top-10 fantasy asset by the end of the campaign.

Royals' Bobby Witt: Swats first homer of season
Witt went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a triple in Sunday's 11-9 extra-inning win over the Angels.
Witt decided that one month was long enough, taking Reid Detmers deep in the sixth inning. This was Witt's first homer of the season. He's made up for the lack of power with consistency at the plate, hitting safely in eight straight games, and he's been held hitless just six times in 28 contests overall. The shortstop is batting .294 with a .790 OPS, nine stolen bases, 12 RBI, seven runs scored and nine doubles over 125 plate appearances. He has some catching up to do in the power department -- Witt has hit at least 20 homers in each of his first four years in the majors, but he may need a hot stretch or two to reach that mark in 2026.

Royals' Bobby Witt: Trio of hits in loss
Witt went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored in Thursday's loss to Detroit.
Witt turned in one of his strongest personal performances of the young season, recording his first three-hit game and first multi-XBH effort of the year. Thursday's showing raised the star shortstop's OPS to .708, though he has yet to homer. His numbers have been trending upward, as Witt is slashing .313/.371/.469 over his past eight games with five doubles, five RBI, three runs and a stolen base, leaving little cause for concern with the 25-year-old.

Royals' Bobby Witt: Logs second steal
Witt went 1-for-3 with one RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 13-9 win over the Twins.
Witt is off to a steady start to 2026, batting .278 (5-for-18) with two RBI, two steals and one run scored. He's still looking for his first extra-base hit, but he did get the ball up by driving in a run with a sacrifice fly Wednesday. Witt's 23-homer showing last year was his worst in three MLB seasons, but he still had an .852 OPS. Fantasy managers can afford to be patient with Witt until he starts hitting for more power, especially if he continues to be an elite contributor with his speed.

Royals' Bobby Witt: Decent showing in WBC
Witt went 6-for-24 with two doubles, three stolen bases, three runs scored and six walks across six games for the United States in the World Baseball Classic.
Witt was a fixture atop the United States lineup, starting at shortstop and leading off in six of seven WBC contests. He didn't dominate at the plate or flash much power, but he still reached base at a .400 clip and showcased his speed with three stolen bases. After a monster 2024 in which he hit .332 with a .977 OPS, the 25-year-old followed up by slashing .295/.351/.501 with 47 doubles, 23 homers, 88 RBI, 99 runs scored and 38 stolen bases across 157 appearances in 2025. Witt has firmly established himself as a legitimate all-around superstar and enters 2026 with lofty expectations.
