Dungan (wrist) is slashing .291/.412/.368 with one home run and seven stolen bases in 148 plate appearances over 41 games since being reinstated from Triple-A Omaha's 7-day injured list May 4.
Dungan missed the first month of the season while recovering from wrist surgery, but the 27-year-old infielder hasn't taken long to settle back in at the plate. As has been the case throughout his minor-league career, Dungan isn't hitting for much power (.077 ISO), but he's shown a disciplined eye at the plate. He's drawn walks at an incredible 17.6 percent clip and is striking out in a modest 20.3 percent of his plate appearances.

Dungan (wrist) was reassigned to minor-league camp Tuesday.
Dungan fractured the hamate bone in his right wrist Thursday and will sit out at least the first three months of the season. When he's able to return, he will likely head to Triple-A Omaha, where he slashed .208/.294/.334 in 515 plate appearances last season.

Dungan (wrist) suffered a fracture right hamate Thursday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Dungan suffered the injury in an at-bat Thursday and will require surgery. The typically recovery timeline is a minimum of three months, so the 26-year-old is unlikely to play for any team until the middle of the season at the earliest. Dungan was a non-roster invitee with the Royals this spring, so he'll likely report to Triple-A Omaha once he's cleared to play.
