Rangers' Justin Foscue: Healthy at Triple-A
Foscue (undisclosed) is back in action for Triple-A Round Rock and has hit .278 with two home runs in nine games since coming off the injured list June 28.
Foscue, 24, has had an excellent first season at Triple-A, slashing .277/.400/.498 with 10 home runs, seven steals, a 14.3 percent walk rate and an 11.7 percent strikeout rate. He can play second base, third base and first base, but the Rangers are pretty crowded at the big-league level, especially since Ezequiel Duran has capitalized on his opportunities this season.... Rangers' Justin Foscue: Placed on IL at Triple-A
Foscue (undisclosed) was placed on the 7-day injured list with Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.
The move is retroactive to June 17, and it's unclear what the nature of Foscue's injury is. He sports a .277/.405/.488 slash line with eight home runs and more walks (38) than strikeouts (29) in 57 games. A second baseman by trade, Foscue has also seen 19 starts at third base and three starts at first base this year.... See More ... See Less
Rangers' Justin Foscue: Goes deep again
Foscue went 2-for-2 with a solo home run in Saturday's spring game against the Royals.
Foscue homered for a second consecutive spring game. The second-base prospect improved his production at the plate in several areas during a full season at Double-A Frisco in 2022. When drafted in the first round of the 2020 draft, Foscue was considered the second baseman of the future, but the Rangers since signed Marcus Semien for that role. Last season's dalliance at third base (12 starts) indicates the organization is looking to find Foscue a home, but Josh Jung appears to have that position locked up. Foscue's bat could carry him to the big leagues, but his fielding is a concern. He had a miscue Saturday that was not an error because double-plays can't be assumed, but it did extend a multi-run inning for Kansas City. A fringy arm at second base will not improve at third, so perhaps a move to left field is in order. The Rangers are not settled at that position.... See More ... See Less
Rangers' Justin Foscue: Collects three hits
Foscue went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored for Double-A Frisco on Tuesday.
Foscue, who has strung together three straight games with multiple hits, extended his hitting streak to six games. During that stretch, he's 11-for-27 (.407) with three walks, two doubles, six RBI and four runs scored. He's shown greater knowledge of the zone and an improved contact rate in 2022, his second stint at the Double-A level. A top-five prospect in the organization, Foscue is slashing .283/.374/.455 with 32 RBI and 26 runs scored over 49 games for the RoughRiders.... See More ... See Less

Rangers' Justin Foscue: Back on IL
Foscue is back on the IL at Double-A Frisco, according to The Prospect Times.
He hasn't played since May 29. The nature of his injury and his timeline for return are unclear, but it's another bad break for Foscue, who already missed time due to a back issue earlier this season. When healthy, he's put up good numbers for Frisco, batting .288/.400/.519 with three homers and a sharp 19:20 BB:K through 28 games.... See More ... See Less

Rangers' Justin Foscue: Building up at extended spring
Foscue wasn't included on Double-A Frisco's season-opening roster last week, as he's continued to work out at the Rangers' extended spring training facility after experiencing back stiffness early in camp, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Foscue doesn't currently reside on Frisco's injured list, perhaps hinting that he could soon be ready to make his season debut. In his first year of professional ball in 2021, the 23-year-old Foscue split time across three affiliates and compiled a .961 OPS.... See More ... See Less
Rangers' Justin Foscue: Battling back soreness
Foscue is dealing with back soreness, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.
The back issue will prevent Foscue from pushing for an Opening Day roster spot, though it's unlikely he ever had much of a chance, as he's yet to reach Triple-A and wasn't particularly good in 26 Double-A games, either, hitting .247/.317/.387. It's possible he hits the minor-league injured list to start the season, though the Rangers aren't concerned about any long-term issues for the 23-year-old, calling his absence precautionary.... Rangers' Justin Foscue: Promoted to Double-A
Foscue was promoted to Double-A Frisco on Wednesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Foscue returned from the 7-day minor-league injured list July 11 and has slashed .358/.458/.938 with 12 home runs, a triple, nine doubles, 29 RBI, 26 runs and a stolen base in 20 games since then. A spot at Double-A Frisco opened up after six players were placed on the injured list due to contact tracing Wednesday, but the 22-year-old will presumably remain at Double-A on a long-term basis given his recent performance....
