Thanks to the local all-star component of the Superstar Racing Experience, multiple tracks on the SRX schedule have begun offering win-and-in opportunities for their local drivers to go up against the star-studded SRX field. Luke Fenhaus did it at Slinger Speedway last summer, and Stafford Motor Speedway is now offering an SRX ride to whoever can win their Spring Sizzler. Now, Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida is offering a similar reward with a different twist.

On Friday, Five Flags announced that a ride in the track's SRX race will be on the line during the track's opening weekend for its super late model division on April 8 and 9. The driver who posts the best average finish in the PepperJack Kennels Twins, a pair of 100-lap races, will earn a spot in Five Flags' SRX race on June 18.

An opportunity to race in SRX furthers the stakes of the weekend, as both races are to pay $10,000 to the winner.

"In all the years we've been involved in racing, I never remember a season starting with so much anticipation," read a statement by Five Flags Speedway General Manager Tim Bryant. "The prestige of the PepperJack Twins is growing each year. While increased purses always help with competitor participation, the opportunity for a driver to earn a seat in the June 18th SRX event should take this year's entry list to new levels. Fans will be in for a real treat come April 8th and 9th."

A chance at an SRX ride presents a major opportunity for drivers in Five Flags' super late model division, which include some of the biggest names in super late model racing. Jake Garcia won last year's track championship, earning the title over names like Stephen Nasse, Jeff Choquette, Casey Roderick, Hunter Robbins and more.

Five Flags Speedway is a new addition to the 2022 SRX schedule, sending the series to one of the most famous tracks in all of super late model racing. The speedway's feature event is the Snowball Derby in December, which boasts a list of champions that includes current NASCAR stars like Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Erik Jones, John Hunter Nemechek, and Noah Gragson.
