The integration of a local all-star car into the Superstar Racing Experience field has opened up an entirely new world of opportunity and possibility for some of the best short track racers in the country.

In Nashville, that world of possibility has come into reach for six short track stars, but only one will get the right to race the best of the best in the SRX field. On Tuesday, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway announced a fan vote to determine which late model driver will get the opportunity to compete as the local all-star in the track's SRX race on July 9.

The fan vote will run from April 3 until May 6, with the winner being announced during the track's ARCA Menards Series East race on May 7.

All six drivers on the fan vote ballot have an extensive history at Nashville Fairgrounds and are among the best late model drivers in the country:

  • Michael House
  • Cole Williams
  • Dylan Fetcho
  • Bubba Pollard
  • Stephen Nasse
  • Brittney Zamora

House, Williams and Fetcho are all local favorites who have all won Nashville's Pro Late Model track championship, while Pollard has won the track's flagship All-American 400 as part of an extremely decorated short track racing resume. Those four are joined by late model star and former Winchester 400 winner Nasse as well as Zamora, who became the first woman to ever win a premier feature race at Nashville Fairgrounds last year.

While Nashville Fairgrounds is the first to decide on a local driver to feature in SRX through a fan vote, they are the latest track on the SRX schedule to employ a "win and in" format for drivers who race regularly at the speedway. Stafford Motor Speedway has announced that the winner of their Spring Sizzler will earn a ride in their SRX race, while Five Flags Speedway announced that the driver with the best average finish in an upcoming race weekend will get an SRX ride.
