Hornets center Al Jefferson recently had fluid drained from his left knee to help alleviate the soreness Jefferson has been experiencing, reports The Charlotte Observer.
It was the second time in a week Jefferson had fluid drained from the knee. Jefferson was only able to play 17 minutes during Saturday's win over the Hawks and scored just two points.
Despite dealing with the knee issue, Jefferson will play in Monday's game against the Celtics, the team announced.
The Hornets are 3 1/2-point favorites.
