Dragic and the Bulls agreed to a one-year contract July 3, Jordan Schultz of ESPN reports. The veteran point guard played just five games with the Raptors last season before eventually being traded to the Spurs, where he was waived. He then signed with the Nets, where he played 16 games (six starts) with averages of 7.3 points, 4.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 25.5 minutes. With Chicago, Dragic should help provide some veteran leadership, and he will also be useful if Lonzo Ball continues to deal with injuries.... See More ... See Less

Nets' Goran Dragic: Scraps to no avail
Dragic chipped in 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal over 24 minutes during Monday's 116-112 loss to Boston. Dragic was one of Brooklyn's grittier players Monday night, hustling for loose balls and relentlessly pursuing rebounds. He led Brooklyn as a team in total rebounds as well as offensive rebounds (three). The 35-year-old is a candidate to return to Brooklyn next season.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Productive outing off bench
Dragic amassed 18 points (8-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and one steal across 20 minutes during Wednesday's 114-107 loss to Boston. Dragic once again provided a spark off the bench for Brooklyn and has totaled 32 points over the first two games of the opening-round series. The veteran point guard appears to have a solid matchup against Boston's second unit and figures to continue providing consistent production as a reserve throughout the series, though Kyrie Irving's struggles may have factored into Dragic's increased usage Wednesday.... Nets' Goran Dragic: Scores 14 points off bench
Dragic finished Sunday's 115-114 loss to the Celtics with 14 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal over 26 minutes. After missing the final five contests of the regular season while he was in the COVID-19 health and safety protocols, Dragic was cleared for Tuesday's play-in game against the Cavaliers, but he was limited to just 10 minutes in the Nets' 115-108 victory. However, the extra time off prior to the Nets' postseason opener allowed Dragic to regain condition, and the veteran guard looked good Sunday while notching his first double-digit scoring outing since March 16. When the lefty point guard has played at least 25 minutes this season, he's averaged 10.4 points, 5.4 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Will be limited Tuesday
Nets head coach Steve Nash said he'll monitor how Dragic (COVID-19 protocols) does on the court to determine how many minutes he'll play in Tuesday's play-in matchup against the Cavaliers, Chris Milholen of NetsDaily.com reports. Dragic cleared the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols Monday, but he'll be limited during his first action since March 31. Since joining the Nets (16 games), the veteran point guard has averaged 7.3 points, 4.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 25.4 minutes per game.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Clears protocols, ready for play-in
Dragic has cleared COVID-19 health and safety protocols Monday and will be available for Tuesday's play-in game against the Cavaliers, Marc Spears of ESPN reports. Just minutes earlier, the Nets listed Dragic as out on their official injury report after he was unable to practice Monday while remaining in the protocols. Head coach Steve Nash said earlier Monday that he wasn't optimistic that Dragic would be cleared in time to play Tuesday, but the veteran guard has apparently tested out of protocols more quickly than anticipated. While he may be behind a bit conditioning-wise, Dragic should return to the rotation and play a key role Tuesday as the Nets look to claim the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference.... See More ... Nets' Goran Dragic: Remains in protocols as of Monday
Dragic (COVID-19 protocols) is listed as out for Tuesday's play-in game against the Cavs. ESPN's Nick Friedell adds that Dragic could be cleared prior to the game, but the expectation is that he will not play. Dragic remains in protocols, so he was not able to practice with the team earlier in the day. Coach Steve Nash acknowledged that Dragic testing out of protocols prior to Tuesday night is a possibility, but Friedell relays that Nash did not sound optimistic about the chances to have the veteran in uniform. While Dragic is technically listed as out on the Nets' official injury report, the more accurate update is that he's teetering somewhere between out and doubtful as of Monday afternoon.... Nets' Goran Dragic: Doesn't practice Monday
Dragic (COVID-19 protocols) did not participate in Monday's practice as he remains in the league's health and safety protocols, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Dragic missed the last five games of the Nets' regular season after landing in the league's COVID-19 protocols on April 2, so it's unclear if he'll be cleared in time for Tuesday's play-in game against the Cavaliers. If he ultimately remains sidelined, Patty Mills and Cam Thomas would likely see increased roles in Brooklyn's backcourt.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Still out Sunday
Dragic (COVID-19 protocols) is out for Sunday's game against the Pacers. Dragic remains in the league's health and safety protocols, and he'll be out for a third consecutive game to close out the regular season. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available for the play-in tournament.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Remains out Tuesday
Dragic (COVID-19) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Houston, Alec Sturm of NetsDaily.com reports. Dragic was placed in health and safety protocols Saturday and will miss a second consecutive game. In his absence, expect Patty Mills and Cam Thomas to garner increased roles.... See More ... Nets' Goran Dragic: In health and safety protocols
Dragic has entered the league's health and safety protocols and will miss Saturday's matchup with the Hawks as a result, Chris Milholen of NetsDaily.com reports. Dragic's absence will make Patty Mills the Nets' primary backup ball-handler behind Kyrie Irving. Cam Thomas could also potentially see some extra run in the rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Available Sunday
Dragic (knee) is available for Sunday's game against Charlotte. After being listed as probable for Sunday's matchup, Dragic will unsurprisingly be able to play through his left knee soreness for a second straight game. He should come off the bench since Kyrie Irving is now eligible to play at home.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Likely available Sunday
Dragic (knee) is probable for Sunday's contest against the Hornets, Alec Sturm of NetsDaily.com reports. Dragic returned to action Saturday following a one-game absence due to the sore left knee, and the veteran is expected to be available for the second half of the back-to-back as well. With Kyrie Irving available to play his first home game of the season, Dragic will likely operate off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Set to play Saturday
Dragic (knee) is expected to play Saturday against the Heat, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Dragic missed Brooklyn's previous contest due to a sore left knee, but he appears ready to retake the court Saturday. The veteran point guard has started in each of his last five appearances, averaging 8.8 points, 6.2 assists and 2.8 rebounds across 32.4 minutes over that stretch. However, he'll likely be used primarily in a reserve role moving forward since Kyrie Irving is now able to participate in all games for the Nets.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Probable at Miami
Dragic (knee) is probable for Saturday's game against the Heat, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports. Dragic should be back following a one-game absence. His role figures to be reduced from here on out, as Kyrie Irving has been cleared to appear in home games.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Ruled out Wednesday night
Dragic (knee) will not play Wednesday against the Grizzlies, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports. Dragic was hoping to push through a sore left knee, but after testing it out pregame he's been ruled out. Seth Curry (ankle) will also sit, leaving even more of the offensive burden on the shoulders of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Will go through warmups Wednesday
Nets head coach Steve Nash said Dragic (knee) will be a game-time decision ahead of Wednesday's contest against the Grizzlies, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports. Dragic is officially listed as doubtful, so it's surprising to hear that he'll have a shot at playing Wednesday. Nash also said Seth Curry (ankle) will be a game-time decision, so if both guards are sidelined, Cam Thomas and Patty Mills would likely be the primary beneficiaries.... See More ... See Less -
Nets' Goran Dragic: Unlikely to play Wednesday
Dragic (knee) is doubtful for Wednesday's contest against the Grizzlies, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Dragic played through the knee soreness Monday, registering seven points (3-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt) and seven assists across 32 minutes. However, it appears he'll likely get the night off Wednesday, which means Cam Thomas, Patty Mills and Seth Curry (ankle) are all candidates for increased roles off the bench.... See More ... Nets' Goran Dragic: Modest production in win
Dragic logged seven points (3-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt), three rebounds and seven assists across 32 minutes during Monday's 114-106 victory over Utah. Dragic was dealing with some routine soreness in his knee ahead of the contest but ended up starting his fifth straight game. During that stretch, the lefty point guard has averaged 8.8 points, 6.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 32.4 minutes per game. With Seth Curry continuing to deal with ankle issues and Kyrie Irving only available for a handful of games down the stretch, Dragic figures to get plenty of opportunities during the final weeks of the regular season.... Nets' Goran Dragic: Set to play Monday
Dragic (knee) will play in Monday's game against Utah. The veteran is dealing with some routine soreness in his knee, but he'll play through it, and likely make his fifth straight start, as the Nets seek a second consecutive victory. Dragic played 36 minutes in each of the Nets' previous two games. He finished Friday's win over Portland with nine points, a season-high 10 assists, three steals and two rebounds.... See More ...
