  • Raptors' Goran Dragic: Steps away from team

Raptors general manager Bobby Webster announced Sunday that Dragic is out indefinitely after leaving the team to tend to an unspecified personal matter, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Since being acquired from the Heat in August as part of the sign-and-trade deal that sent Kyle Lowry to Miami, Dragic has struggled to carve out a role with the Raptors. He started in the Raptors' season opener before moving to the bench, but he was a fixture on the second unit for only three contests before falling out of the rotation entirely. Lowry has seen the court just once in the Raptors' past 17 games, so his absence shouldn't affect how head coach Nick Nurse divvies up the minutes among the team's guards. Given his lack of a role, Dragic could be headed for a buyout at some point later this season if and when he rejoins the Raptors.

  • Raptors' Goran Dragic: Picks up spot start

Dragic will start Saturday against the Pistons, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.

With Fred VanVleet (groin) out, Dragic will make his first appearance since Oct. 25. It's unclear what his workload will be since he had completely exited the rotation.

  • Raptors' Goran Dragic: Late move to bench

Dragic will now come off the bench in Friday's game against the Celtics, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

This move was made minutes before tipoff. He will be replaced in the starting lineup by Gary Trent. Still, the veteran logged 22 minutes as a starter in the season opener and figures to see a similar workload off the bench.

  • Raptors' Goran Dragic: Scores nine in Toronto debut

Dragic had nine points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists and three rebounds across 22 minutes in Wednesday's loss against the Wizards.

Dragic didn't have the most productive performance in his debut as a Raptor, but considering the team's struggles, he delivered a decent performance while also contributing as a facilitator and on the glass. The veteran should see an uptick in his numbers as long as he remains as a starter, though he's likely to be a secondary scoring option once everyone is healthy on the roster.

  • Raptors' Goran Dragic: Starting season opener

Dragic will start Wednesday's opener against the Wizards, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

When the Raptors acquired the veteran, it wasn't clear what his role would be. This is a best-case scenario, as Dragic is starting alongside Fred VanVleet in the backcourt.

  • Raptors' Goran Dragic: Out Monday, will play Tuesday

Dragic (rest) will sit out the first game of the back-to-back, but he will be available for Tuesday's contest against the Wizards, Aaron Rose of reports.

Dragic will sit out Monday, but Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby will play. Dragic's absence will allow Malachi Flynn to see some extended work with Toronto's starters.

  • Raptors' Goran Dragic: Dealt to Toronto

Dragic, along with Precious Achiuwa, has been dealt from the Heat to the Raptors in the sign-and-trade involving Kyle Lowry, independent NBA writer Marc Stein reports.

The 35-year-old point guard is coming off another solid season in which he averaged 13.4 points, 4.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 26.7 minutes. If he stays in Toronto, he can see a similar workload and put up comparable numbers. However, there's always a chance he ends up somewhere else, as the Raptors are engaging in a rebuild, and Dragic doesn't exactly fit the timeline.
