  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Productive in preseason victory

Rozier finished with 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 17 minutes in Sunday's 101-99 preseason win over the Pelicans. Rozier produced a solid outing, finishing as the third-highest scorer behind Tyler Herro (12) and Duncan Robinson (12). The Heat acquired Rozier late in January of 2024, and he carved out a significant role in 31 regular-season appearances (30 starts), during which he averaged 16.4 points, 4.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals across 31.5 minutes per game. The 30-year-old is set to serve as the club's starting point guard once again, and he is expected to be locked into that spot with Alec Burks (rest) coming off the bench.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Fully cleared to play

Rozier (neck) has been fully cleared to play this summer, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reported Tuesday. Rozier missed the final 11 games of 2023-24, including all five postseason games versus Boston, with a neck strain, but he'll have a full offseason with a clean bill of health to work on his game. Rozier made 31 appearances for the Heat last season, posting averages of 16.4 points, 4.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.1 three-pointers.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Remains out for Game 5

Rozier (neck) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Celtics, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Rozier will miss an 11th straight game due to a neck strain. Jimmy Butler (knee) and Jaime Jaquez (hip) are also out for the potential elimination game, so Delon Wright, Patty Mills, Kevin Love and Duncan Robinson are all candidates for increased roles.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Remains out, day-to-day

Rozier (neck) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics. Rozier will miss a 10th straight game due to a neck strain. Coach Erik Spoelstra said Sunday morning that he doesn't know if Rozier will play in the opening-round series. "[Rozier] is day-to-day. When it changes, I'll let you know," Spoelstra added, per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Delon Wright (personal) is probable after being absent for Saturday's Game 3 loss and should help soak up some of Rozier's missing minutes.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Remains out for Game 3

Rozier (neck) won't play in Saturday's Game 3 against the Celtics. Rozier's absence streak will extend to nine games Saturday due to neck spasms. With Delon Wright (personal) questionable, Patty Mills could receive his first minutes of the series against Boston. Rozier's next chance to suit up is Game 4 on Monday.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Won't suit up Wednesday

Rozier (neck) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 2 against the Celtics, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Rozier will now miss his eighth straight game, and it is unclear whether the team will look to rush him back for the remainder of the series without Jimmy Butler (knee). The 30-year-old is considered week-to-week and against the Celtics, so it would not come as a surprise for Rozier to miss the entirety of the series. With Rozier out, Delon Wright, Duncan Robinson and Patty Mills are all likely candidates to see an uptick in playing time.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Considered week-to-week

Rozier (neck) is not considered healthy enough to return for Game 1 of the Heat's opening-round series versus the Celtics on Sunday and is considered week-to-week, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Fortunately, Rozier's neck injury is not considered career threatening, but he is expected to miss more time. With Jimmy Butler (knee) also sidelined for the immediate future, Tyler Herro figures to be the primary beneficiary of Rozier's absence from an offensive workload perspective. The likes of Delon Wright, Patty Mills, Duncan Robinson, Caleb Martin and Jaime Jaquez also figure to benefit in some fashion. The possibility of a playoff sighting for Rozier will presumably depend on how long the Heat can stay afloat against the daunting Celtics.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Remains out for Friday

Rozier (neck) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bulls. Rozier, who will miss a sixth straight contest, has been diagnosed with a neck sprain rather than neck spasms, so it seems the injury is more severe than initially expected. The loss of Rozier has been tough for the Heat, and it's translated into a higher usage rate for Tyler Herro and more minutes for Delon Wright.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Won't play Wednesday

Rozier (neck) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Play-In Game against the 76ers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Rozier missed the final four games of the regular season due to neck spasms and will remain sidelined for the beginning of postseason play. Caleb Martin has been starting at shooting guard recently, but Duncan Robinson (back) is expected to be available following a four-game absence of his own, so it's unclear who'll share the backcourt with Tyler Herro.

Rozier (neck) didn't practice Tuesday, Zachary Weinberger of Clutch Points reports. Rozier missed the final four games of the regular season due to neck spasms and still isn't practicing ahead of Wednesday's Play-In Game against the 76ers. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported Monday that Rozier was getting more tests done on his neck, but the Heat have been cautiously optimistic about the shooting guard's availability. Duncan Robinson (back) and Kevin Love (arm) were both limited during Tuesday's practice.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Considered questionable

Rozier (neck) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Tim Reynolds of Associated Press reports. Rozier tried to play through the neck issue Sunday but scored just four points (2-7 FG) in 22 minutes during a loss to Indiana and was sidelined for Tuesday's win over Atlanta. With Duncan Robinson (back) unlikely to play, Rozier's availability becomes key, though Tyler Herro's recent return has provided a boost to Miami's backcourt.

Rozier (neck) has been downgraded to out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. After being downgraded from questionable to doubtful earlier in the day, Rozier has been officially ruled out and will miss Tuesday's contest against the Hawks. His availability to face the Mavericks on Wednesday should be in question as well. With Rozier out, expect Patty Mills to feature in the backcourt alongside Tyler Herro, while Delon Wright and Caleb Martin are also candidates for increased roles.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Officially a game-time decision

Rozier (neck) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against Atlanta, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Rozier did not participate in the team's morning shootaround prior to Tuesday's 7:30 p.m. ET tipoff, and he expressed that he wants to be cautious with his neck spasms given that Miami closes a back-to-back Wednesday versus Dallas. His status could be determined during pregame warmups for a Miami backcourt that will be without Duncan Robinson (back) Tuesday.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Iffy for Tuesday

Rozier is questionable for Tuesday's game versus Atlanta due to neck spasms. Rozier was able to play through his neck issue in Sunday's 117-115 loss to the Pacers, but he struggled to the tune of four points (2-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four assists and two steals in just 22 minutes. The injury isn't yet behind him, and because Tuesday marks the front end of a back-to-back set, it wouldn't be surprising if Rozier sat out.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Will start Sunday

Rozier (neck) is available and will start Sunday's game against the Pacers, Tim Reynolds of Associated Press reports. Rozier was a late addition to the injury report Sunday morning due to neck stiffness but will ultimately play through the issue. He's appeared in 20 straight games and has averaged 18.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 32.9 minutes during that stretch. However, Tyler Herro's recent return will likely mean less usage for Rozier moving forward.

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Late addition to injury report

Rozier is questionable for Sunday's game against the Pacers due to neck stiffness. Rozier has been playing through a left knee contusion, appearing in 20 straight games and averaging 18.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 32.9 minutes during that stretch. However, he's now dealing with a new injury and is at risk of being sidelined. If Rozier is ruled out, Tyler Herro, who returned Friday in Houston following a lengthy absence, would likely slide back into the starting lineup.

Rozier (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Rockets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Rozier scored 22 points (7-20 FG) in 33 minutes during Thursday's loss to the 76ers and has averaged 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.0 minutes over his last 19 appearances (all starts).

  • Heat's Terry Rozier: Considered probable

Rozier is probable for Friday's game against the Rockets due to a left knee contusion. Rozier continues to play through the knee contusion, and Friday shouldn't be different, even though it's the second night of a back-to-back set. He dropped 22 points (7-20 FG) in 33 minutes during Thursday's 109-105 loss to the 76ers and has averaged 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.3 minutes over his last 19 appearances (all starts).
