  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Becoming unrestricted free agent

The Raptors will not extend a qualifying offer to Miller, making him an unrestricted free agent, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

Miller is coming off his third season in the NBA after going undrafted from Holy Cross. He hasn't seen much NBA action, appearing in 53 games and averaging 2.0 points in 6.7 minutes. Miller is unlikely to see much interest in free agency and could end up in the G League.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Sent to G League

Miller was assigned to the G League on Saturday, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

Miller was assigned presumably in an attempt to secure additional in-game reps for the 26-year-old. While he's played a limited role at the NBA level this season, there's a good chance he'll be recalled ahead of Sunday's tilt with Indiana.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Left off injury report

Miller (neck) doesn't appear on the Raptors' injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Miller looks like he'll be good to go after missing the previous three games with a neck strain. Even before the injury surfaced, Miller had appeared in just two of the Raptors' prior 13 games since the calendar flipped to 2020. Miller's expected return Wednesday shouldn't impact coach Nick Nurse's rotation plans.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Unavailable Sunday

Miller (neck) won't play against the Bulls on Sunday, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

Miller will be sidelined for a third straight, as the forward continues to tend to a neck strain. The former Holy Cross standout's next opportunity to be available to play looms Wednesday against Indiana.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Unavailable Friday

Miller (neck) was ruled out for Friday's game at Detroit.

Miller will miss his second straight game with the neck strain after picking up the injury Tuesday versus the Hawks. The 26-year-old has appeared in only two games in January, so his absence is unlikely to have a significant impact on coach Nick Nurse's rotations Friday.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Out Thursday with neck injury

The Raptors list Miller as out for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers with a strained neck.

Miller likely picked up the injury during his two-minute appearance in Tuesday's win over the Hawks or during practice Wednesday. Either way, his absence Thursday won't have much affect on coach Nick Nurse's rotation plans. He's seen the floor in just two of the Raptors' 13 games since the calendar flipped to January.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Returns from G League stint

Toronto recalled Miller from the G League's Raptors 905 on Tuesday, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

Miller will presumably be available for the Raptors' game Tuesday against the Trail Blazers after a brief stint in the G League. Since playing time has been hard to come by for Miller at the NBA level, the Raptors likely just sent him to the G League so he could pick up some meaningful minutes. The forward ended up logging 26 minutes Monday in the 905's 124-114 win over the Erie BayHawks, finishing with six points (1-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one steal.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Accepts G League assignment

The Raptors assigned Miller to the G League's Raptors 905 prior to the affiliate's game Wednesday against the Maine Red Claws, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

As a player with appearances at the NBA level in parts of three seasons, Miller had the option to refuse the assignment to the 905, but Murphy notes that the forward jumped at the opportunity to receive some extended minutes. Miller should rejoin the NBA team for its game later Wednesday against the Magic but isn't likely to be included in the rotation after averaging just 5.8 minutes while appearing in four of the Raptors' first 13 contests of 2019-20.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Coming off bench Saturday

Miller will come off the bench Saturday against the Mavericks, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

With OG Anunoby (eye) returning to the starting lineup, Miller will resume his usual bench role. He's appeared in just three games this season and hasn't seen more than seven minutes in any contest.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Acts as placeholder in start

Miller logged seven minutes in his start Wednesday in the Raptors' 114-106 win over the Raptors, finishing with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one assist.

Given that he was out of the rotation for both of the past two contests, Miller was a surprising choice to replace the injured OG Anunoby (eye) in the starting five. The assignment didn't end up amounting to much, as Miller acted merely as a placeholder for Anunoby to begin the game while Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (26 minutes) absorbed the bulk of the small-forward minutes. Even if Anunoby misses additional time, don't expect Miller to be a major beneficiary.

Miller will start Wednesday's game against Portland, Eric Smith of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.

Miller will start in place of OG Anunoby, who's out with an eye contusion. Miller's seen action in just two games this season, grabbing four rebounds in 10 total minutes and will likely return to the bench pending Anunoby's expected return Saturday.

  • Raptors' Malcolm Miller: Makes roster

The Raptors informed Miller on Monday that he would be included on the team's opening night roster, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

Miller beat out guards Isaiah Taylor and Cam Payne for the 15th and final spot on the roster. Coach Nick Nurse said the 6-foot-7 wing earned his spot on the heels of a strong training camp, but Miller is unlikely to be a regular member of the Toronto rotation. Miller has appeared in 25 career games at the NBA level, posting averages of 2.9 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.7 triples in 7.7 minutes.
