Bane tallied 19 points (8-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven assists, four rebounds, two blocks and one steal over 26 minutes during Friday's 114-109 preseason loss to the Heat.
Bane led the Grizzlies in assists Friday and co-led in scoring with Santi Aldama. Bane averaged a career-high 23.7 points per game in 2023-24, but he played only 42 regular-season games due to separate ankle and back injuries. The 2020 first-round pick will look to help lead the Grizzlies back to the NBA postseason alongside starters Ja Morant, Marcus Smart, Jaren Jackson (hamstring) and rookie center Zach Edey.

Bane amassed 23 points (9-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 22 minutes in Monday's 120-116 preseason win over the Pacers.
Zach Edey and Bane tied for a game-high 23 points in Monday's contest. The sharpshooter missed Saturday's matchup against the Bulls due to undisclosed reasons, but he returned to the starting five while catching fire versus the Pacers. The 26-year-old averaged a career-high 23.7 points and 5.5 assists across 34.4 minutes per game last season; however, he was limited to only 42 regular-season outings due to injuries to both his ankle and back.

Grizzlies' Desmond Bane: Back in action Monday
Bane (undisclosed) will start Monday's preseason game against the Pacers, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.
Bane didn't suit up Saturday against Chicago for undisclosed reasons but will return to action Monday. He's joined in the starting lineup by Scotty Pippen, Jake LaRavia, Santi Aldama and Brandon Clarke.

Grizzlies' Desmond Bane: Not starting Saturday
Bane is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason game against Chicago.
The Grizzlies haven't announced a reason for his absence from the lineup, but all signs point to this being a scheduled off day for Bane after he started in the team's previous two preseason contests. Bane should continue to feature for the Grizzlies in the rest of the preseason, however, with an aim toward being fully ready for the regular-season opener against Utah on Oct. 23.

Grizzlies' Desmond Bane: Solid night in loss
Bane produced 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists and two steals across 25 minutes in Thursday's 119-94 loss to the Hornets.
Bane is expected to form part of a potent backcourt that will feature Ja Morant and Marcus Smart. Although injury limited Bane to 42 games last season, he logged career-high averages in points (23.7) and assists (5.5). He's also a solid perimeter shooter who will drive up his score with several three-point attempts. He averaged a whopping 8.6 attempts from downtown last season.

Grizzlies' Desmond Bane: Healthy for camp
Bane (back) has been a full participant in training camp this week, Michael Wallace of NBA.com reports.
A back injury robbed Bane of the final nine games of the 2023-24 season, and that took place shortly after he missed a couple of months with an ankle issue. He had a healthy offseason by all accounts, however, and fantasy managers will be looking for him to bounce back with his injuries behind him. In just 36 regular-season appearances last season, Bane averaged 24.7 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 34.9 minutes.
