  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Dynamic in limited minutes

Reed amassed eight points (4-8 FG), 10 rebounds and three blocks in 12 minutes during Friday's 121-82 victory over the Hornets. Reed grabbed a few extra minutes Friday, cashing in as the game fell into garbage time. Known as a per-minute beast, Reed lived up to expectations, falling two rebounds short of a double-double and adding three blocked shots. While there is no move to currently make from a fantasy perspective, managers can hope that Reed lands in a more favorable situation at some point.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Posts quality line in limited run

Reed finished Monday's 147-143 win over the Pacers with eight points (4-4 FG), four rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal in 11 minutes off the bench. Reed has now played in each of Philadelphia's last 11 games and clearly seems to have surpassed Montrezl Harrell and Dewayne Dedmon as the team's preferred backup center. As was evident in his stat line Monday, Reed possesses the ability to post interesting fantasy numbers on a per-minute basis, but he won't get enough playing time to emerge as anything more than a deep-league option unless superstar Joel Embiid misses time. Reed has eclipsed 20 minutes just once in the aforementioned 11 games, and it came in the lone contest Embiid sat out during that stretch (March 1 in Miami).

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Double-doubles off bench

Reed finished with 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds and two blocks across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 119-96 victory over the Heat. Reed has shown he can produce when given enough minutes, and Wednesday's game was no different, as he enjoyed an uptick in playing time due to the absence of Joel Embiid (foot) and responded with a double-double, his fourth of the season. Reed has double-doubled in every game that he's logged at least 24 minutes, but his playing time moving forward will be directly related to Embiid's availability.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Scores five as reserve

Reed provided five points (2-2 FG, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and two blocks across nine minutes during Wednesday's 118-112 victory over the Cavaliers. Reed saw a slight decrease in playing time Wednesday after logging double-digit minutes in his previous three appearances, but he made the most of his opportunities on both ends of the floor. He was perfect on his two field-goal attempts and led the team with two blocks, marking the third time in the last four games that he's had at least two blocks or steals.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Tallies double-double off bench

Reed logged 16 points (6-7 FG, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and three steals in 24 minutes during Sunday's 123-111 win over Detroit. Reed paced the 76ers' bench in scoring while leading the team in rebounds during Sunday's victory. Reed notched his second-highest point and rebound totals of the year en route to his third double-double of the season.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Minimal role again Saturday

Reed had two points (1-5 FG), three rebounds and one block in four minutes during Saturday's 115-96 win over the Thunder. Reed logged fewer than six minutes for the 11th straight game, continuing a disappointing season. On the surface, it appears he should be getting playing time over the likes of Montrezl Harrell. Unfortunately, that has been the case despite Harrell being nothing short of disastrous. Reed has no place in most fantasy leagues, but he is a player to watch should he supplant Harrell at some point down the track.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Makes all four shot attempts

Reed closed with nine points (4-4 FG, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block across 14 minutes during Wednesday's 113-85 loss to the Cavaliers. Reed scored eight of his nine points in seven first-half minutes. He is 11-for-12 from the field over his last three contests and is averaging 7.0 points per game in that span. After playing just 7.2 minutes per game in his first 11 appearances, he's seen an uptick in minutes of late and is averaging 19.3 minutes over the last eight games.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Picks up slack sans Embiid

Reed ended with 12 points (6-6 FG), 13 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 30 minutes during Sunday's 133-103 win over Orlando. With Joel Embiid (foot) missing a fourth straight game, 76ers head coach Doc Rivers once again deployed a center platoon of Reed and Montrezl Harrell. Though Harrell has started all four games, Reed has matched or outpaced him in minutes on three occasions and offers the more intriguing fantasy skill set of the two players at this stage of their respective careers. While Embiid has been sidelined the past four contests, Reed is averaging 10.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.8 steals and 1.5 assists in 25.8 minutes while shooting 73.1 percent from the field. The 76ers are continuing to evaluate Embiid on a game-by-game basis, but Reed should have value as a steaming option for however long the former is out.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Stellar showing off bench

Reed registered 19 points (7-9 FG, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, two blocks and three steals over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 115-106 win over the Nets. Reed ignited the offense by dominating in the paint and also getting to the charity stripe, where he knocked down a season-high five free throws. He should continue to see opportunities to produce until Joel Embiid (foot) gets the green light to return, and it's worth noting the large uptick in minutes Reed saw during Tuesday's clash, jumping from 12 minutes Sunday to 31 minutes against Brooklyn.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Available Saturday

Reed (knee) is available for Saturday's game against the Hawks, Lauren Rosen of the 76ers' official site reports. Reed should continue seeing light backup minutes behind Joel Embiid. He has yet to record more than two points or four rebounds in a game this season.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Questionable vs. Hawks

Reed is questionable for Saturday's game against the Hawks due to a bruised right knee. Reed has seen limited action as Joel Embiid's backup this season. If he's out Saturday, Georges Niang, P.J. Tucker or Montrezl Harrell could be in line for more minutes.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Fails to score versus Atlanta

Reed posted zero points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, one steal and one block in nine minutes during Thursday's 104-95 loss to the Hawks. Reed has yet to score over two points in any game this season. Despite optimism before the season that Reed would be an impact player off the bench for the 76ers, Montrezl Harrell and P.J. Tucker have gotten the majority of minutes at center early when Joel Embiid is off the floor.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Plays three minutes vs. Toronto

Reed ended Wednesday's 119-109 loss to the Raptors with no counting stats over three minutes. Reed has had minimal playing time for the 76ers early in the regular season, as he's appeared in three of the team's first five games and hasn't played more than nine minutes in any appearance. He was held without any counting stats during Wednesday's loss and is now averaging 0.7 rebounds in 5.7 minutes per game to begin the season.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Puts on defensive show in win

Reed totaled four points (2-5 FG), three rebounds, three steals, three blocks and two assists in 18 minutes during Monday's 113-97 victory over the Cavaliers. Reed turned in another defensive masterclass in the win, highlighting what he can bring to the table when afforded significant playing time. Unfortunately, his opportunities will likely be limited during the regular season, capping his overall appeal. As a result, managers in deeper formats would be wise to consider him with a final pick, while those in standard leagues could at least keep an eye on his role moving forward.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Grabs four steals

Reed scored five points (2-5 FG, 1-1 FT) to go along with six rebounds, two assists and four steals in 18 minutes during Wednesday's preseason win over the Cavaliers. Reed continued his solid play on Wednesday by contributing in multiple areas. While he scored only five points, four of which came in the first half, he played a major role on defense with three steals in the second half, including one on a bad pass from Mamadi Diakite with 0:46 left in the game to help the 76ers hold onto a narrow two-point lead. The 6-foot-9 small forward continues to show that he has the ability to grow into a solid player for Philadelphia as the team heads into the 2022-2023 regular season.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Solid play continues

Reed ended with four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 119-103 loss to Miami. Reed has seen an uptick in playing time throughout the playoffs, showcasing the ability to contribute defensive stats, rebounds and buckets inside. While he hasn't assembled any dazzling stat lines, the 22-year-old DePaul product has flashed potential in his second season.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Goes for 25 points off bench

Reed amassed 25 points (12-14 FG, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and four steals across 21 minutes during Sunday's 118-106 victory over the Pistons. Aside from two spot starts in early November, Reed never logged more than 15 minutes in any game this season until the regular-season finale, when he registered his best performance of the campaign. He averaged just 7.9 minutes per contest during the regular season, however, so he's not expected to play a big role in the postseason.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Seven boards in limited minutes

Reed recorded five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds and one steal in Thursday's 119-114 loss to Toronto. After grabbing just nine rebounds in his last nine appearances, Reed hauled in seven boards in just 11 minutes of play to finish second among the team in that category. The second-year forward has bounced between the G League and active roster for much of the season but has shown glimpses of his future potential.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Assigned to G League

Reed was assigned to the G League's Delaware Blue Coats on Friday, Noah Levick of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Reed has been a healthy DNP for five of the 76ers' last six games. Across eight G League contests, the 22-year-old is averaging 22.9 points, 13.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.6 blocks in 33.0 minutes per game.

  • 76ers' Paul Reed: Steps in as backup center

Reed recorded six points (3-8 FG), seven rebounds and three steals across 15 minutes Saturday in the 76ers' 103-93 win over the Cavaliers. For the second game in a row, Reed served as the main backup to Joel Embiid following Thursday's blockbuster trade that sent Andre Drummond to the Nets. Despite being an undersized for the position at a listed 6-foot-9 and 218 pounds, Reed has put up quality numbers across the past two contests, averaging 6.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks in 14.0 minutes. While he looks to have leapfrogged rookie Charles Bassey on the depth chart at center, Reed may not stick in the rotation once Paul Millsap -- whom the 76ers acquired in that same deal Thursday -- is cleared to make his team debut.
