  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Extends impressive streak

Porter closed with 22 points (8-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 119-115 win over Golden State. Porter seems to be overtaking Jamal Murray as the Nuggets' second-best offensive option based on his excellent numbers over the last few weeks. The forward has scored at least 18 points in each of his last seven appearances, averaging 20.3 points per game and shooting 56.2 percent from the floor in that span. Porter might not be a flashy player or a human highlight reel, but there's no question he's been the Nuggets' most efficient and consistent player if excluding Nikola Jokic.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Scores 18 points Sunday

Porter finished with 18 points (8-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-4 FT), seven rebounds and one assist in 32 minutes during Sunday's 126-122 loss to the Clippers. Porter was efficient from a shooting perspective and tied Jamal Murray as Denver's second-highest scorer in this matchup behind Nikola Jokic, who posted his eighth triple-double of the season. Porter has been on a roll of late with 17 or more points in six straight appearances, averaging 20.0 points and shooting 56 percent from the field in that span.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Posts 19 points in victory

Porter logged 19 points (8-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 122-103 win over the Jazz. Porter shot over 50 percent from the field during the blowout win. He snapped a short two-game double-double streak, but they have been coming fast and furious over the past two weeks, with three double-doubles over the past five games.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Goes for 24 points Saturday

Porter supplied 24 points (10-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Saturday's 127-102 victory over the Lakers. Porter was extremely efficient Saturday and was one of the main reasons behind the Nuggets' impressive second-half performance in the win over the Lakers. Even though Porter finished just two points shy of his season-high mark, this was the third time over his last five outings in which he'a scored at least 24 points. The small forward is averaging 20.5 points per game in 11 outings this month.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Leads Denver in scoring Friday

Porter recorded 24 points (10-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt), six rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes during Friday's 101-94 loss to New Orleans. Porter embraced a more significant role on offense Friday with Nikola Jokic (personal) sidelined, resulting in his fifth game with at least 20 points across seven outings in November. During that seven-game stretch, the star forward is averaging 21.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while shooting an impressive 52.8 percent from the field and 48.2 percent from beyond the arc.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Sinks five triples in win

Porter ended with 21 points (8-15 FG, 5-10 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 36 minutes during Friday's 135-122 victory over Miami. Porter has scored at least 20 points in four of his last five games. During that stretch, he's averaged 22.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 48.8 percent from deep. With Aaron Gordon (calf) sidelined for a few weeks, Porter will have increased responsibilities on both ends moving forward.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Hits season-high six threes in win

Porter dropped 24 points (7-16 FG, 4-4 FT, 6-10 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists and a steal over 41 minutes in Wednesday's 124-122 victory over the Thunder. Porter hit a season-high six three-pointers in Wednesday's win and went perfect from the free-throw line for the third consecutive game. He is averaging 17.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.3 blocks in 36.9 minutes this season.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Flirts with double-double in win

Porter notched 19 points (7-16 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 121-119 victory over the Raptors. Porter was one rebound shy of a double-double, marking the third time he's fallen just short of the milestone. Porter is trying to build on a solid 2023-24 campaign where he set new career highs in free-throw percentage and minutes played. He also had 16 double-doubles last season, so these narrow misses should convert more often as the season progresses.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Another 20-point effort

Porter logged 20 points (7-12 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and two assists over 29 minutes during Saturday's 129-103 win over the Jazz. Porter reached the 20-point mark for the second consecutive contest, a sign of improvement after not doing so in his first four contests. He's been constantly attempting double-digit shots, so the points will eventually come, although he's primed to have a slightly more significant role on offense as long as Jamal Murray (concussion) remains sidelined or less than 100 percent healthy. Porter is shooting 47 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three in his six appearances.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Drops 26 in Friday's loss

Porter accumulated 26 points (11-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 39 minutes during Friday's 119-116 loss to the Timberwolves. It was Porter's best scoring performance of the young season, as he drained at least three three-pointers for the third time in five contests. After a cold start from beyond the arc, the 26-year-old forward has gone 7-for-14 from downtown over the last two games. Porter's also been busier than usual on the glass -- his 7.4 boards per game would be a career high, and he's pulled down at least five rebounds in every appearance so far.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Productive in Thursday's outing

Porter scored 16 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) while adding eight rebounds in 23 minutes during Thursday's 132-126 preseason win over the Timberwolves. There wasn't much defense being played Thursday, but that suited Porter just fine. The 26-year-old forward has been in midseason form from the jump during the Nuggets' exhibition schedule, producing 26.2 points per 36 minutes while shooting 61.0 percent from the floor (25-for-41) and 37.5 percent (6-for-16) from three-point range.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Paces Denver in scoring

Porter notched 15 points (5-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, an assist and a steal across 25 minutes in Tuesday's 124-94 preseason loss to the Thunder. The Nuggets decided to rest Russell Westbrook and Nikola Jokic, while Jamal Murray (knee) was ruled out due to a minor injury, so Porter embraced the role of being a go-to player on offense and led a depleted Nuggets roster in scoring in this 30-point loss. Porter and the Nuggets have one more preseason game left against the Timberwolves on Thursday.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Scores 21 points Sunday

Porter posted 21 points (8-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, an assist and three steals across 25 minutes in Sunday's 118-114 preseason loss to the Suns. Porter returned to the starting lineup after a one-game absence due to rest purposes, and he looked sharp on both ends of the court. Once Denver's regular season begins Oct. 24 against the Thunder, Porter projects to operate as Denver's third option on offense behind Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Back in action

Porter will start Sunday's preseason game against the Suns. Porter was held out of Denver's last game for rest purposes, but he will return to play Sunday. With Porter and Aaron Gordon (undisclosed) back in the lineup, the Nuggets will get to run with their projected Opening Night starting lineup.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Sitting out Sunday

Porter (rest) will not play in Sunday's preseason game against the Celtics in Abu Dhabi, Harrison Wind of TheDNVR.com reports. Porter will join Aaron Gordon (undisclosed), Russell Westbrook (rest) and DeAndre Jordan (rest) -- none of whom are expected to miss any time to begin the regular season -- on the bench Sunday. Porter started in Friday's 107-103 preseason loss to the Celtics, during which he saw 15 minutes of action while scoring 12 points and going 5-for-8 from the field. The 26-year-old's next chance to suit up will come next Sunday against the Suns.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Under minutes restriction Friday

Porter is expected to receive limited playing time in Friday's preseason opener against Boston, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports. With 19 players able to suit up, coach Mike Malone said Friday that the starting unit of Porter, Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray will receive limited run. This will likely remain the case until the club gets closer to Opening Night. Porter is coming off a strong all-around season, during which he averaged 16.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.7 made three-pointers across 31.7 minutes per game in 81 regular-season outings.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Goes cold in Game 7 loss

Porter posted seven points (3-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt), nine rebounds and two blocks across 34 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Porter went just 1-for-6 from the three-point line, continuing a rough series for the sharpshooter. Over the seven-game span, Porter scored fewer than 10 points on five occasions. It was an unfortunate end for Porter after he managed to put together a strong season. Despite the poor postseason performance, Porter should be able to maintain mid-round value in most fantasy formats next season.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Quiet night Tuesday

Porter had six points (2-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 112-97 victory over the Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Porter managed just six points in the victory, continuing his recent offensive struggles. He has scored fewer than 10 points in three of the past four games, a very different story compared to how he opened the playoffs. Despite his poor shooting, the Nuggets now sit just one win away from another trip to the Western Conference Finals. Look for Porter to turn things around in the near future.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Strong from deep in 21-point Game 3

Porter ended with 21 points (6-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal over 30 minutes in Friday's 117-90 win over the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Porter provided a nice lift offensively for Denver in its first win of the conference semifinals, leading all Nuggets in threes made while ending as one of three players with 20 or more points in Game 3. Porter had a bounce-back performance after failing to reach double figures in scoring in Game 2, and he has now posted 20 or more points in two of the three games against Minnesota.

  • Nuggets' Michael Porter: Records double-double in Game 4

Porter chipped in 27 points (10-20 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 40 minutes during Saturday's 119-108 loss to the Lakers in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Porter was Denver's second-best player in this game, as he trailed only Nikola Jokic in scoring and rebounding while notching his second consecutive double-double in the series. Despite playing a secondary role on offense behind Jokic and Jamal Murray, Porter has scored at least 20 points while grabbing nine or more rebounds in his last three contests, a run he'll aim to continue in Game 5 on Monday.
