With the Lakers competing in both the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League, James has appeared in seven Summer League contests and several practices over the last two weeks. He'll join Dalton Knecht and Maxwell Lewis in street clothes Saturday.

James tallied four points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal on 2-for-9 shooting in his Summer League debut Saturday. The 19-year-old will be held out of Sunday's back-to-back as a precaution. However, James is expected to suit up for the Lakers' Summer League game against the Heat on Wednesday.

Lakers' Bronny James: Inks four-year deal

James signed a four-year, $7.9 million contract with the Lakers on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Per Michael Scotto of USA Today, the first two seasons of James' deal are fully guaranteed, while the rookie second-round pick has a partial guarantee of $1.3 million for the third year of the deal. The fourth year, meanwhile, is a $2.49 million team option. The contract ensures that James will be part of the Lakers' 15-man roster to open the upcoming season, but the 19-year-old will still face an uphill battle to break training camp with a regular spot in head coach JJ Redick's rotation. James will don purple and gold for the first time Saturday, when he's scheduled to play for the Lakers' entry in the California Classic Summer League.

James was selected with the No. 55 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Lakers.
LeBron James' goal of sharing the floor with his son is now inevitable, as Bronny makes it onto the Lakers' roster. He had a tough year at USC as a freshman, notably marked by a cardiac arrest caused by a congenital heart defect which delayed the start of his college career. James proceeded to average 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 19.4 minutes across 25 appearances (six starts). James' standout traits are his defense, athleticism and playmaking, though he doesn't shoot well from distance and isn't a true point guard. Simply put, there's a lot of work required for James to prove he belongs at the NBA level right now, but he'll undoubtedly get his chances.
