Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Nets 21 points with five stocks
Buzelis totaled 21 points (7-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals in 36 minutes during Monday's 125-120 loss to Orlando.
Buzelis had been struggling in his previous two outings, going 6-for-17 from the floor while being confined to single digits in the scoring department, so it was nice to see him get things back on track Monday night. He'll look to keep it going Wednesday with a favorable matchup against the Nets.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Another quiet outing
Buzelis supplied 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt), four rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes during Monday's 143-130 loss to the Pelicans.
Buzelis was benched to start the second half with the Bulls rolling with Jalen Smith -- Patrick Williams was already starting in Nikola Vucevic's (knee) place. After a red-hot start to the campaign, Buzelis is suddenly stuck in a slump. Over his last five outings, the second-year forward has averaged 10.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.2 blocks in 23.4 minutes per contest.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Available Saturday
Buzelis (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Wizards, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Buzelis suffered a right ankle injury in Friday's loss to the Heat, but the second-year forward will play in the second leg of this back-to-back set. Buzelis is averaging 14.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game this season.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Questionable to play Saturday
Buzelis (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Wizards.
A right ankle injury forced Buzelis out of Friday's 143-107 loss to the Heat, and he finished that contest with six points, five rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 19 minutes. He faces an uphill battle to play in the second leg of the Bulls' back-to-back set Saturday, and if he is indeed ruled out, then Patrick Williams (wrist) would be a candidate to enter Chicago's starting lineup.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Ruled out rest of game
Buzelis has been ruled out for the remainder of Friday's game against Miami due to a right ankle injury, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Buzelis tweaked his ankle earlier in the contest, and while he did return to the court, he's been shut down for the final few minutes of what's become a blowout loss. Buzelis will finish the game with six points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FFT), five rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 19 minutes. Chicago faces Washington on Saturday, and Buzelis can be considered doubtful for that contest until the Bulls release their injury report.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Returns to game
Buzelis (anle) has checked back into Friday's game against the Heat, Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Buzelis rolled his ankle earlier in the contest, an issue that warranted a trip to the locker room. He's since returned from the locker room and is back on the hardwood.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Rolls ankle
Buzelis went back to the locker room during Friday's game against Miami after an apparent ankle injury, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.
Buzelis was helped toward the locker room, but after reaching the tunnel, he was able to walk without assistance. The forward appeared to roll his ankle and looked to be in significant pain. While he's out, Patrick Williams and Julian Phillips could see an uptick in playing time.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Puts up 18 points Sunday
Buzelis recorded 18 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 33 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 150-147 double-overtime loss to the Jazz.
Buzelis was unable to repeat the double-double he posted in the loss to the Pistons on Friday, but he recorded a third straight game with at least 15 points. The second-year forward continues to emerge as a reliable scoring weapon for Chicago, but some regression could be expected once Coby White, who made his season debut Sunday, returns to the starting lineup and handles his regular workload. Buzelis is averaging 14.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game in seven outings since the beginning of November.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Double-doubles with two blocks
Buzelis finished Wednesday's 124-113 loss to the Pistons with 21 points (7-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 34 minutes.
Not only was this Buzelis' first double-double of the season and just the second of his career, but he also set a new career high in rebounding. However, all was for naught, as the Bulls took a loss to a Pistons team that was missing four of their five regular starters. Chicago will look to get things back on track Sunday in Utah.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Struggles vs. Cleveland
Buzelis logged four points (1-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and four rebounds across 18 minutes during Saturday's 128-122 loss to the Cavaliers.
Buzelis has been one of the brightest spots for the Bulls in the early stages of the 2025-26 season, but he struggled badly in this game and posted his second-worst scoring mark of the campaign. As a second-year player, Buzelis will likely still have a few games in which he won't be able to make a significant impact, but more often than not, he's been reliable for Chicago. This four-point performance snapped a six-game streak of games with double-digit points for the forward, and he'll aim to bounce back when the Bulls take on the Spurs on Monday.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Comes close to double-double
Buzelis chipped in 20 points (8-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 36 minutes during Friday's 126-110 loss to the Bucks.
Buzelis reached the 20-point mark for the third time this season, and the second-year forward continues to show he can be one of the Bulls' go-to options on offense regularly. Buzelis has scored in double digits in six straight games, averaging 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game over that stretch.

Buzelis has scored 10-plus points in five straight contests, averaging 16.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.8 threes made in that span, shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 50 percent from three. He will look to continue his offensive momentum rolling Friday against the Bucks.

Buzelis logged 27 points (11-18 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 126-113 victory over the Kings.
Buzelis finished with the third-highest scoring total of his career in Chicago's fourth straight win. He was dialed in from beyond the arc, easily marking his best shooting performance of the young season. The second-year lottery pick showed why he could be poised for a breakout year.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Puts up 21 points in win
Buzelis notched 21 points (7-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), six rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 115-111 victory over Detroit.
Buzelis was in hot demand during fantasy drafts, and he certainly lived up to the hype on Opening Night. His starting role was never in doubt heading into the season, with Patrick Williams comfortably behind him, and as was the case in the preseason, a lot of the offense ran through the second-year forward. Buzelis appears poised for a potential breakout season as a source of points, three-pointers, rebounds and blocks.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Scores team-high 19 points
Buzelis tallied 19 points (8-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), two blocks, one rebound, one assist and one steal in 25 minutes during Thursday's preseason win over the Timberwolves.
Buzelis put together another strong performance, continuing to flash his tremendous upside. After a slow start to his rookie season, Buzelis finished the 2024-25 season with a bang. It appears as though the coaching staff liked what it saw, with Buzelis primed to play a major role this season.

Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Stays hot against Denver
Buzelis produced 20 points (7-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, one assist and five blocks across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 124-117 preseason loss to Denver.
Buzelis was everywhere in this game, and he even blocked Nikola Jokic several times. The second-year forward entered training camp with a ton of buzz, and he's certainly lived up to it in the preseason with averages of 17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 2.3 three-pointers in 23.0 minutes across four appearances.
