Jared Harper: Scores 28, fills stat sheet
Harper recorded 28 points (10-17 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 6-9 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and a steal across 41 minutes in Saturday's loss against Iowa.
Harper was waived by the Pelicans, but he returned to the G League and it looks as if he'll operate as the Squadron's starting point guard going forward. As a result, Tra Holder has moved to a bench role.... See More ... See Less
Jared Harper: Parting ways with New Orleans
Harper will be waived by the Pelicans on Sunday, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.

Pelicans' Jared Harper: Nets two-way deal from Pels
Harper and the Pelicans agreed Monday on a one-year, two-way contract, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
New Orleans hasn't announced a corresponding roster move, but the team will either have to release one of its two existing two-way players -- Jose Alvarado and Daulton Hommes (lower leg) or sign one of the two to a standard contract in order to clear room for Harper. A 24-year-old point guard, Harper earned his two-way deal after averaging 21.3 points (on 47.3 percent shooting from the field), 6.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 2.4 three-pointers in 33.1 minutes over 12 appearances for the Pelicans' G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron.... Harper had 23 points (7-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists, two rebounds and a steal across 35 minutes in Monday's win over the Hustle.
One would have thought Harper's volume and scoring numbers would see a dip with Trey Murphy and Jaxson Hayes playing for Birmingham, but such wasn't the case and he surpassed the 20-point mark once again. Expect Harper to continue being the Squadron's biggest offensive threat until further notice.... See More ... See Less
Jared Harper: Scores 19 points Saturday
Harper recorded 19 points (5-21 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, four assists and a steal across 37 minutes in Saturday's win over Lakeland.
Harper continues to shine as one of the best scorers in the G League, but his shot wasn't falling in this one, and he can't afford to be this sloppy against other opponents. He's still putting up 21.9 points per game on the season, but he's shooting just 42.6 percent from the field and 38.4 percent from deep.... See More ... See Less

Harper scored 35 points (12-19 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 5-6 FT) while adding eight assists, four rebounds and two steals across 31 minutes in Sunday's loss to Mexico City.
The Squadron might have lost in this one, but that didn't stop Harper from posting his best game of the campaign. The former Auburn standout has scored at least 15 points in all but one game this season and is averaging a healthy 22.6 points per game on the campaign.... See More ... See Less
Jared Harper: Paces Squadron once again

Harper recorded 35 points (12-21 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT) in the season opener against Greensboro and while he was unable to repeat those numbers against the same opponent with roughly 24 hours of difference, he paced the team in scoring once again. Expect Harper to be a reliable fantasy alternative as one of Birmingham's offensive leaders.... See More ... See Less
Jared Harper: Puts up 35 in season debut
Harper recorded 35 points (12-21 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six assists and two rebounds across 34 minutes in Friday's win over Greensboro.
Harper carried the Squadron in the season opener and while he's not likely to score around the 30-point mark on a nightly basis, he was involved enough to believe he could be a big scoring threat for Birmingham and should command enough touches to have upside in most formats....
