  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Struggles from field Friday

Davis posted 11 points (4-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, two assists and four steals across 38 minutes in Friday's 104-101 win over Grand Rapids. Davis found a way to score in double digits despite struggling with his shot, as he needed 15 field goals just to reach that plateau. The 10th overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft has a lot of work to do if he wants a shot in The Association, and he has been far from dominant in the G League, so he could remain with the Go-Go for most of the season.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Healthy again in G League

Davis (hip) has appeared in two of the G League Capital City Go-Go's last three games, averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in 22 minutes between the two contests. Davis picked up a hip injury early last week, but it didn't result in a long-term absence. The rookie first-round pick isn't a part of Washington's rotation and is expected to continue seeing most of his opportunities with the Go-Go while he struggles to adjust to the professional game. Even in his four appearances against lower-caliber G League competition, Davis' averages of 10.0 points (on 33.3 percent shooting from the field), 3.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 26.6 minutes don't inspire much confidence about his long-term outlook.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Clear of injury report

Davis (hip) isn't listed on the injury report for Monday's game against the Warriors. Davis was unavailable the past two games due to a hip strain, but he's off the injury report ahead of Monday's contest. The rookie first-round pick has played in only 10 NBA contests this season with minimal playing time.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Downgraded to out

Davis (hip) won't play in Friday's game versus the Knicks. Davis has been downgraded from questionable to out Friday with a right hip strain. Monday's matchup with Golden State is the rookie guard's next chance to suit up.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Questionable Friday

Davis (hip) is questionable for Friday's game versus the Knicks. Davis continues to deal with a right hip strain. However, the rookie guard hasn't logged double-digit minutes in any of his 10 appearances this season, so his injury status is unlikely to affect Washington's rotation.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Remains out Wednesday

Davis (hip) is out for Wednesday's game versus Chicago. Davis will miss another game due to a hip injury. The rookie guard's next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with the Knicks. However, Davis' return timetable is uncertain.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Dealing with hip injury

Davis is dealing with a right hip strain and is out for Monday's game against the Pelicans, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports. Davis stayed behind on the recent Milwaukee trip to receive treatment for the injury, and it seems the issue is a bit more severe than initially expected. Davis' absence shouldn't affect many fantasy rosters, however, as he's spent most of the time with the franchise's G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Scores 11 in return to lineup

Davis posted 11 points (3-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT), two rebounds, two assists and a block across 30 minutes in Thursday's win over Motor City. Davis was expected to make a quick leap to the NBA after being selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, but the guard has had problems adjusting to the G League and has rarely seen time with the Wizards. He's expected to remain with Capital City until further notice, and even his performances with the Go-Go have not been eye-popping by any means.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Scores 18 points off bench

Davis had 18 points (6-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, three steals and two assists across 33 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's win over Motor City. Davis had many chances to play as a starter during the Showcase but was outplayed by Kris Dunn, so it makes sense to see him coming off the bench here. It remains to be seen if that'll be a permanent move or not, but Davis can use all the minutes he can get at the G League level, as he's still not ready to make the jump to the NBA.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Goes for 16 points Wednesday

Davis had 16 points (6-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals across 38 minutes in Wednesday's win over Santa Cruz. Davis has struggled to make a consistent impact in the G League despite being a lottery pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, but he had a good performance in this one. He needs to be more consistent on a game-to-game basis to have a shot at playing in the NBA sooner than later, though, and that hasn't happened yet.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Back in action in G League

Davis (COVID-19 protocols) suited up Sunday for the G League's Capital City Go-Go, playing 19 minutes and logging nine points (3-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and one block in the team's 112-105 loss to the Greensboro Swarm. Davis was making his first appearance for the Go-Go or the NBA squad since Dec. 3 after being placed in the protocols. Despite his status as a rookie lottery pick, Davis doesn't look to be NBA ready and could continue to see regular action in the G League since the Wizards won't have a spot for him in their rotation.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Enters COVID-19 protocols

Davis has entered the league's health and safety protocols. Davis has been in the G League with the Capital City Go-Go recently, but he'll now be away from the team due to the league's health and safety protocols. He'll presumably remain with the G League club once he's deemed healthy.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Questionable Sunday

Davis (groin) is questionable for Sunday's game at Boston. Davis isn't a consistent rotation player. His presence won't affect fantasy.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Struggles from field Friday

Davis had 15 points (6-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, an assist and a steal across 32 minutes in Friday's win over Maine. Davis is averaging 15.0 points per game this season and continues to prove he can be a solid contributor at the G League level, but he needs to work on his consistency before he can be a consistent contributor for the Wizards at the NBA level. The 10th overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft is making 45.3 percent of his shots from the field and 44.4 percent of his three-point attempts, but he's prone to have off games from time to time. Friday's contest was the best example, as he needed 17 shots just to score 15 points.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Puts up 18 points against Maine

Davis recorded 18 points (7-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt), five assists and four rebounds across 32 minutes in Thursday's loss against Maine. Davis has appeared in five of Capital City's six games to start the season, and the results have been encouraging, as he's scored at least 13 points in all but one game while also posting decent numbers in other categories. Through those five appearances, the 10th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft has averaged 15.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists while making an impressive 47.8 percent of his three-point attempts.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Returns to Wizards

The Wizards recalled Davis from the Capital City Go-Go of the G League on Thursday. Davis' stint in the G League was short, but he is expected to bounce back and forth between the Go-Go and Wizards throughout the season. Bradley Beal (illness) remains out for Thursday's game versus the Mavericks, but there is no guarantee Davis will see playing time.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Sent back to G League

The Wizards assigned Davis to the Capital City Go-Go of the G League on Wednesday. Davis didn't play in Monday's game against the Hornets, despite being available. It is not a good sign for Davis' fantasy managers that he is not receiving playing time even with Bradley Beal (illness) out. The 2022 No. 10 pick should have more opportunities to develop in the G League.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Struggles from field

Davis had 13 points (3-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal across 25 minutes in Saturday's loss against Raptors 905. There's no question Davis has all the tools to become a star in the league, but his first taste of action at the G League level didn't go so well. He struggled massively from the field, but Davis should adjust sooner than later and is expected to be one of Capital City's go-to players on offense as the season advances.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Headed to G League

Davis will join G League Captial City on Saturday for the team's season opener. Davis struggled throughout Summer League and the preseason and hasn't etched out a particularly large role early in his career, so the rookie will head to the G League in an attempt to iron things out. Depending on how things go, Davis could spend a decent amount of time with the Go-Go.

  • Wizards' Johnny Davis: Sees garbage time minutes in loss

Davis registered two points (1-3 FG) and one rebound over eight minutes during Sunday's 112-94 loss to the Celtics. The 2022 first-round pick was a DNP-CD in the Wizards' first three games, but he's now seen limited action in each of the last three contests. He's been aided by the fact that all three of those games were blowouts, however. As of now, Davis appears to remain on the outskirts of the regular rotation, and the impending return of Corey Kispert (ankle) won't help his chances of earning a larger role. Last week, coach Wes Unseld Jr. intimated that Davis could end up spending time in the G League with the Capital City Go-Go.
