Sunday's game against the Rams was supposed to be a cakewalk for quarterback Andrew Luck and the AFC South leading Colts. Well, someone forget to tell the Rams.
Luck was intercepted three times and eventually sat out the final two offensive series during a 38-8 blowout loss Week 10. Luck completed 29 of 47 passes for 353 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for a team-high 17 yards.
The Rams brought pressure from the get-go Sunday, which seemed to keep Luck off balance all afternoon. Luck was sacked and stripped of the football on the sixth play of the game. It was recovered by St. Louis and returned by Chris Long for a 45-yard touchdown. Luck had a terrible first half, completing 12 of 23 passes for 93 yards.
It didn't get much better for Luck in the second half. He was picked off in the end zone on the opening drive in the third quarter, as he targeted Darrius Heyward-Bey on a 9-yard touchdown. Luck then threw his second interception on the next drive. Luck's final interception came in the fourth quarter, as he targeted Coby Fleener in the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown.
Luck did have a 13-yard touchdown pass to Donald Brown in the second half. He came close to a second touchdown twice in the fourth quarter. However, a 4-yard touchdown pass to David Reed was overturned after a review showed Reed stepped out at the 2-yard line. A few plays later, Luck dove at the goal line for what could have been a 6-yard touchdown run on a fourth-and-goal play, but he was stopped at the goal line.
The Colts are back in action Week 11 at Tennessee.
