Case Keenum made a pretty good case for himself on Sunday in his quest to become the full-time starting quarterback for the Texans.

Keenum was especially proficient in the first half of the loss in Kansas City, when he completed 8 of 12 passes for 151 yards and a 29-yard touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins that gave his team a 10-7 lead. Keenum averaged 23.6 yards on his first five completions.

The rest for the game was a bit dicier for Keenum, who had a critical fourth-quarter fumble and connected on just 7 of 13 passes for 120 yards in the second half.

Gary Kubiak will have plenty of time to decide what to do at quarterback if Matt Schaub does return to health in time for the next game - the Texans are on a Week 8 bye.
