The New York Giants found themselves on the losing end against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday. For quarterback Daniel Jones, that has sadly been the norm throughout his NFL career when it comes to prime-time games.

With Monday's 20-17 loss at the hands of the Chiefs, Jones now has an 0-7 record in prime-time games since joining the NFL. That is historic, and not in a good way. Jones is now the first ever NFL QB to start their career 0-7 in prime-time games.

Here's a look at the games Jones has played in prime time -- all of which are losses:

  • Lost 20-17 to Chiefs on Nov. 2, 2021
  • Lost 30-29 to Washington Football Team on Sept. 12, 2021
  • Lost 25-23 to Buccaneers on Nov. 2, 2020
  • Lost 22-21 to Eagles on Oct. 22, 2020
  • Lost 26-16 to Steelers on Sept. 14, 2020
  • Lost 35-14 to Patriots on Sept. 10, 2019
  • Lost 37-18 to Cowboys on Nov. 4, 2019

It's worth noting that four of these losses have come by three points or less.

The Giants even led the Chiefs 17-14 early in the fourth quarter on Monday night thanks to a touchdown pass from Jones to tight end Evan Engram. However, the Chiefs ultimately got the last laugh as kicker Harrison Butker connected on the game-winning 34-yard field goal with 1:07 remaining to propel the Chiefs to victory.

Throughout his three NFL seasons, Jones has completed 62.6 percent of his passes while throwing 42 touchdowns compared to 27 interceptions. During the 2021 season, the former first-round pick has completed 64.1 percent of his passes in addition to throwing seven touchdowns and five interceptions.
