One of the premier pass rushers in the sport could be on the verge of returning. Tom Couglin told Pro Football Talk that defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is "getting close" to coming off the PUP list for the Giants. Pierre-Paul underwent back surgery late in the offseason and has been working his way back.
The two-time Pro Bowler has registered 23 sacks in the last two seasons combined, though his total slipped to 6.5 in 2012.
