At some point in the future, the Washington Redskins will vacate FedEx Field. On Friday, the world was given a glimpse into the Redskins' next stadium.

Apparently, the stadium's design features a moat for kayaking and tailgating purposes.

"The stadium is designed as much for the tailgating, like the pre-game, as for the game itself," architect Bjarke Ingels told 60 Minutes, per CBS News. "Tailgating literally becomes a picnic in a park. It can actually make the stadium a more lively destination throughout the year without ruining the turf for the football game."

My initial thoughts:

Ingels, whose other projects include the World Trade Center and Google's headquarters, will appear on 60 Minutes on Sunday. Thanks to a short preview video, which you can watch at CBSNews.com, we already have a general idea of what the stadium will look like.

And yes, that includes the stadium's own kayak-able moat.

Ingels apparently wasn't lying when he told 60 Minutes that he mixes "the practical with the fantastical."

Yep, that's a moat. (CBS News screen grab/60 Minutes)
