Packers DT Josh Boyd diagnosed with torn ligaments in ankle

Packers defensive tackle Josh Boyd's MRI on Monday revealed torn ankle ligaments in addition to a broken small bone, thus casting doubt over his availability for the remainder of this season, NFL.com reports.

Boyd was previously thought to have escaped serious injury, but upon Monday's MRI revealing torn ankle ligaments, Boyd's condition appears worse than hoped. With a broken ankle bone as well, Boyd may now be sidelined for the remainder of this season, potentially leaving the Packers without a member of their defensive line rotation.
