Patrick Mahomes' mother doesn't think interception off of Tyreek Hill's hands should count against QB
Mahomes' mother is calling for a statistics change

Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has now thrown eight interceptions so far in 2021 -- which is more than he threw in either of the last two seasons. In fact, Mahomes has thrown 15 interceptions in his last 15 games.
Not all have been his fault, as some have come off of the hands of his intended wideouts. One of those unlucky interceptions came in the first half of the Chiefs' Week 6 matchup against the Washington Football Team. Early in the second quarter, Mahomes attempted to hook up with wideout Tyreek Hill. Hill failed to reel in the pass, and it was picked off by cornerback Kendall Fuller.

This interception was certainly not Mahomes' fault, and his mother chimed in on the play, saying that the interception should not be statistically attributed to the quarterback.
Ok PEOPLE that should not be an interception on the QB… that should be a fumble or anything else.. just putting it out there.. GO CHIEFS..

Randi Mahomes does have a point. Obviously this specific interception is not Mahomes' fault. Maybe one day interceptions could be attributed to wide receivers in the box score instead of the quarterback. Granted, Mahomes also had a bad interception later in the quarter that he can't blame anyone but himself.
Make that 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 takeaways for the defense...
