Tight end Charles Clay a work in progress

New Dolphins starting tight end Charles Clay saw six targets Saturday against Tampa Bay but came away with one catch for 5 yards. “I’m just trying to get that taste out of my mouth,” Clay told the Palm Beach Post. “It’s never a thing you want to put on film, having a game like that.”

Clay added that he needs to work on “running routes, trying to get more separation, things like that. All of the things I came out here this week and tried to improve upon.”
