  • Jets' C.J. Mosley: Adds exclamation point with INT

Mosley totaled a team-high 10 tackles (three solo) and added an interception in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Bears. Mosley played a key role as the Jets shut the door after allowing 10 points on Chicago's first two drives. The Bears' final offensive play was a Mosley interception on his own three-yard line. He had a would-be game-sealing interception overturned on replay against Denver earlier this season, but there was no doubt about Mosley's interception against Chicago.

  • Jets' C.J. Mosley: Approaching 100 tackles

Mosley logged a team-high nine tackles (seven solo) -- including one tackle for loss -- in Sunday's 10-3 loss to the Patriots. Neither offense mustered a touchdown in this defensive battle. Mosley's contributions were key to New York's success, as he diagnosed numerous running plays and stopped them in their tracks. The veteran linebacker has 97 tackles (62 solo) through 10 games, putting Mosley on pace to come up just short of last season's career-high 168 tackles.

  • Jets' C.J. Mosley: Gets first sack of 2022

Mosley had six tackles (five solo), a sack and a pass defensed in Sunday's 20-17 win over Buffalo. Mosley had a lackluster tackling performance by his lofty standards against the pass-heavy Bills, but he filled out the stat sheet with his first sack and fourth pass breakup of the season. The veteran linebacker briefly came off the field in the first half to be examined for an injury, and Mosley's absence was felt immediately, as backup Jamien Sherwood was slow to react to a Josh Allen scramble that converted 3rd-and-10 to set up a Buffalo touchdown. Luckily for the Jets, Mosley was able to return and helped New York hold the Bills to only three points after halftime.

  • Jets' C.J. Mosley: Back in full Thursday

Mosley (hip) was listed as a full participant on the Jets' injury report Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Mosley appeared on the Jets' injury report for the first time this season Wednesday following his third consecutive double-digit tackle outing in Week 5. However, the veteran linebacker appears to have moved past this hip issue after participating in full during practice Thursday. Mosley has played every defensive snap over the first five weeks of the season, and he should see similar playing time against the Packers on Sunday.

  • Jets' C.J. Mosley: Logs limited session Wednesday

Mosley (hip) was limited during Wednesday's practice. Mosley logged double-digit tackles for the fourth time in five games during Sunday's win over the Dolphins, but he presumably picked up a hip injury, too. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but he'll have two more opportunities to upgrade to a full participant before the team needs to make a decision on his status for Week 6.

The Jets restructured Mosley's contract Friday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Mosley finished the 2021 campaign with a career-high 168 tackles after playing just two games in 2019 due to a groin injury and opting out of the 2020 campaign.

  • Jets' C.J. Mosley: Another robust tackling effort

Mosley (back) recorded 10 tackles (six solo) and a sack in Sunday's 26-21 win over the Jaguars. Mosley once again led the Jets in tackles, reaching double digits for the fourth consecutive game. He added his second sack of the season and should have had his first interception of the campaign as well. Mosley had the ball go through his hands deep in Jets territory on the Jaguars' final drive, coming tantalizingly close to a game-sealing interception. The ball was caught at the one-yard line by Jaguars receiver Marvin Jones, but the Jets held the Jaguars out of the end zone on the next two plays to win the game, benefiting from the Jaguars' curious decision to spike the ball on third down rather than run a play.

Mosley (back) is active for Sunday's game against Jacksonville. Mosley was considered questionable after practicing as a full participant Friday, so it's not much of a surprise he's suiting up Sunday. • Jets' C.J. Mosley: Has 44 tackles in last three games

Mosley racked up 14 tackles (eight solo) in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Dolphins. Mosley has 44 tackles in the last three games, as opponents have consistently won the time of possession battle against the Jets, giving New York's best tackler ample opportunities to pad his stats. Miami ran the ball 42 times in this one, after the Saints called 44 running plays last week. A visit from the low-octane Jaguars offense in Week 16 could offer Mosley and the overworked Jets defense a much-needed respite.

Mosley (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Saints, Randy Lange of the Jets' official site reports. Mosley was listed as questionable after the Jets released their final Week 14 injury report, but his ability to practice fully Friday was viewed as a promising sign for his chances of suiting up. As expected, Mosley will be ready to play Sunday, and he shouldn't face any limitations after playing every snap on defense in both of the Jets' last two games. The veteran linebacker has amassed 101 tackles, two pass breakups, a sack and a forced fumble through 11 appearances on the season.

Mosley (back) was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice session, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Mosley was dominant in Sunday's loss to the Eagles and racked up 13 tackles (11 solo). However, he apparently sustained a back injury in the defeat. If the 2014 first-rounder is unavailable in Week 14, Hamsah Nasirildeen and Jarrad Davis could see increased playing time.

  • Jets' C.J. Mosley: Ties season high with 13 tackles

Mosley totaled 13 tackles (11 solo) in Sunday's 33-18 loss to Philadelphia. Mosley's deficiencies in coverage have contributed to opposing running backs and tight ends having their way with the Jets' hapless defense in the passing game, but the veteran linebacker is still a solid tackler. He tied teammate Quincy Williams for the team lead in tackles in this game, and Mosley has racked up double-digit stops in six of his 11 games played in 2021.
