Antonio Andrews: Charged with assault
Andrews was charged in Nashville on Friday with felony aggravated assault, Jason Wolf of The Tennessean reports.
Andrews allegedly broke a man's jaw during an early-morning altercation in March. He is expected to appear in court for a hearing May 19. An undrafted free agent, the 25-year-old has spent the last three years with the Titans before tumbling down the depth chart in 2016. He finished the year with just 15 yards on two carries. He was not retained by the team in the offseason.

Titans' Antonio Andrews: Won't be tendered by Tennessee
Andrews won't receive a restricted free agency tender from the Titans, Jason Wolf of the Tennessean reports.
Andrews had 143 rushing attempts for 520 yards and three touchdowns in 2015, but the additions of DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry last offseason relegated him to just two carries and 15 yards in 2016. By not extending Andrews a restricted free agent tende, the Titans are enbabling him to test the open market when free agency officially opens Thursday afternoon. He'll likely look for a team that offers him more playing time in 2017.

Titans' Antonio Andrews: Gets two touches after Derrick Henry's injury
Andrews rushed twice for 15 yards Sunday in San Diego.
Andrews took advantage of backup Derrick Henry's calf injury, and registered his first offensive touches of the season. Even if Henry remains out for a while, Andrews won't play more than a handful of snaps per game behind DeMarco Murray.

Andrews has emerged as Tennessee's third-string running back following Friday's final roster cuts.
The Titans opted to keep just three running backs, which is one fewer than expected. Nonetheless, the team's 2015 leading rusher was able to secure a spot on the final roster unlike Bishop Sankey, Dexter McCluster or David Cobb. He's unlikely to see the field on offense unless DeMarco Murray or Derrick Henry get hurt, but could mix in on special teams as a kick returner.

Titans' Antonio Andrews: Fails to take advantage of special teams opportunity
Andrews rushed four times for nine yards, and added 33 yards on three kick returns in Saturday's preseason game against the Raiders.
Strong special teams play was supposed to distinguish Andrews from Tennessee's other depth running backs, but he didn't help his case much in this one. His 10 offensive snaps did exceed Dexter McCluster (six), David Cobb (two), and Bishop Sankey (zero) combined, so it looks like the team's leading 2015 rusher still holds a slight edge in the battle to back up DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry heading into the preseason finale.

Titans' Antonio Andrews: Upstaged in preseason opener
Andrews rushed eight times for 41 yards, but went without a target in Saturday's preseason opener against the Chargers.
Andrews didn't play poorly, but still lost ground as three other prominent Titans running backs all averaged more yards per carry and found the end zone. While the 24-year-old wasn't considered a serious threat to surpass DeMarco Murray or Derrick Henry anyway, he can't afford to get beat out by 2014 fifth-rounder Bishop Sankey for the third spot behind them. Sankey has started strong after ceding the job to Andrews last year, leaving Tennessee's leading 2015 rusher in serious jeopardy of getting cut entirely.

Andrews, who had been dealing with a strained hamstring, took some reps Tuesday, Titans beat writer John Glennon reports.
Andrews wasn't out long, but glowing reports about Bishop Sankey early in camp suggest that last year's leading rusher is in an early hole in the battle for the team's No. 3 running back spot behind newcomers DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry. The plodding back isn't a game-changer, but he still does his stock much more good by being out there than watching injured from the sidelines.

Andrews faces added backfield competition after the Titans completed a deal to acquire DeMarco Murray from the Eagles on Wednesday, the team's official site reports.
Less than a week after signing Andrews to a one-year extension, the Titans made a move that promises to significantly limit his playing time. Andrews rushed for 520 yards and three touchdowns while splitting time with Bishop Sankey, Dexter McCluster and David Cobb last season, but he doesn't figure to approach those totals as long as Murray -- who is slated to head the Titans' backfield in 2016 -- stays healthy.

Titans' Antonio Andrews: Loses costly fumble against Texans
Andrews gained just one yard on two carries, failed to catch either of his two targets, and lost a fumble in Sunday's disastrous performance against the Texans.
Andrews didn't get anther carry after Houston's Quintin Demps took his opening-possession fumble 33 yards to the house. Tennessee's offense fared no better without his involvement, as Bishop Sankey and David Cobb combined for just 29 rushing yards. None of the three make for particularly appealing options against the desperate Colts next week.

Titans' Antonio Andrews: 60 yards in loss
Andrews rushed 14 times for 45 yards and caught five of six targets for 25 receiving yards during Sunday's loss to the Patriots.
Despite continued talk that David Cobb would get a bigger piece of the backfield workload, Andrews rushed 10 more times than Cobb, who produced just nine yards. Andrews has just one touchdown in the last 10 games, though it's possible the Titans could give him more touches in Week 16 against the Texans if backup quarterback Zach Mettenberger is under center in place of Marcus Mariota, who suffered a knee injury Sunday.
