Deon Lacey: Let go by Buffalo
Lacey was waived by the Bills on Tuesday, Maddy Glab of the team's official site reports.
The 30-year-old joined the active roster Oct. 12 and exclusively played special teams over the past two games. Lacey could join the team's practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Bills' Deon Lacey: Signs with active roster
The Bills signed Lacey to the active roster Monday.
Lacey was on the practice squad but was elevated to the active roster in Weeks 2 and 3. With Matt Milano (pectoral) already ruled out for Tuesday's game versus the Titans, Lacey could handle increased duties Tuesday and possibly beyond if Milano's out long term.

Bills' Deon Lacey: Added to Week 2 roster
Lacey was elevated from the practice squad Saturday, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Lacey gets his second promotion of the week after being added to practice squad just two days ago. The Bills are a mess at linebacker with two starters and a sub ruled out for Sunday's game in Miami, and while Lacey won't start in this one, there's a decent chance he sees the field as a depth linebacker in certain packages or as a special teams contributor. He's seen action with the Bills previously during Sean McDermott's tenure, so re-adjusting to the scheme won't be difficult.

Dolphins' Deon Lacey: Scooped up by Dolphins
The Dolphins claimed Lacey off waivers from the Bills, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
While Lacey couldn't make the cut in Buffalo, the Dolphins are in rebuild mode and took a flier on the middle linebacker. Lacey has worked mostly on special teams in the last two years, and a similar role is likely again as long as Raekwon McMillan (undisclosed) returns for Week 1, which is likely.

Bills' Deon Lacey: Re-ups with Buffalo
Lacey signed a one-year contract with Buffalo on Thursday.
Lacey, who was an exclusive-rights free agent, comes cheap and will contribute at a high level on special teams.

Bills' Deon Lacey: Strong bet to make roster
Lacey is considered likely to land on the Bills' final roster due to his importance on special teams, Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News reports.
Although he only logged three defensive snaps as a rookie last season, Lacy was still active for all 16 games due to his role as a core special teamer. He lined up for a team-high 285 special teams snaps in 2017, roughly 65 percent, and looks likely to see a similar role this year. However, it remains to be seen if the reserve linebacker will get more of an opportunity on the defensive side of the ball.

Bills' Deon Lacey: Re-signs with Buffalo
Lacey signed a contract with the Bills on Thursday, Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports.
The Bills cut Lacey just one day earlier to make room on the roster for waiver claim Tyrell Adams, but the team ended up reversing the transaction after Adams failed his physical. Lacey will thus stick around for the Bills as Sunday's matchup with the Buccaneers approaches, but he'll be limited to nothing more than a special teams role if he's active for that contest.
