Noteboom suffered a deep bruise in his shoulder against the 49ers on Sunday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports. Noteboom exited Sunday's game with a shoulder injury that's now being described as a deep bruise. Rams' Joe Noteboom: Dealing with setback
Noteboom (undisclosed) will not practice the remainder of the week, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports. Noteboom is, "dealing with a little something right now," according to head coach Sean McVay. The 28-year-old was able to participate in individual drills Wednesday, but McVay added that he, "didn't have any more information than that right now." Noteboom was competing for the starting left tackle job in camp, although these setbacks may derail his progress in nailing down a starting job. Rams' Joe Noteboom: Competing for starting left tackle
Noteboom (Achilles) has been competing for the starting left tackle position throughout Rams camp, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Noteboom missed the entirety of the 2022 season with an Achilles injury but has since had the offseason to get past the issue. The veteran lineman signed a $40 million contract extension in 2022 that he's reworked to allow the Rams to save $9 million in cap space this year. He'll be competing with Alaric Jackson, who filled in for Noteboom the first half of last year before getting hurt himself. Noteboom (Achilles) has been limited throughout Los Angeles' OTAs, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Head coach Sean McVay told reporters how "awesome" it will be to have the 2022 starting left tackle back fully participating once again, but still didn't give a timetable for his return.
