Harris (thigh) re-signed with the Ravens on Thursday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports. Harris played seven games with Denver in 2020 before being waived then claimed by Baltimore, where he played in four contests. The Ravens designated him for return from IR in early January, before being eliminated from playoff contention, so he should be fully healthy for the tentative start of offseason activities.

  • Broncos' Davontae Harris: Suffers hamstring injury

Coach Vic Fangio said Harris could miss a week or two with a hamstring injury, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. Harris appeared to have suffered this injury during Week 2's loss to the Steelers. The timeline is still unclear, but there's a good chance he misses this Sunday's matchup versus the Buccaneers. Considering Harris hasn't played a defensive snap this season, his absence shouldn't shake up the defensive dynamic.

  • Broncos' Davontae Harris: Has shot at CB3

With the release of De'Vante Bausby, Harris has an early shot at serving as the nickelback, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports. Harris was a last-second addition prior to last season after being cut by the Bengals. He eventually emerged from within Denver's injury-riddled secondary to play 394 of the team's 402 defensive snaps from Weeks 6 through 12. Struggles and improvement from Isaac Yiadom limited Harris to just four defensive snaps during the Broncos' final five games, but the third-year corner out of Illinois State has reportedly made significant strides toward the end of camp. His placement on the depth chart will likely depend on the development of rookies Michael Ojemudia and Essang Bassey, but Harris has the early advantage with an additional season in the system.
