  • Eagles' Brett Toth: Returns from hamstring injury

Toth (hamstring) participated in Tuesday's practice session, John McMullen of SI.com reports. Toth has not participated in practice since July 24 due to what was reported at the time as a toe injury. His return to practice Tuesday was a welcome one, as the Eagles are dealing with multiple injuries to their offensive line, including left guard Landon Dickerson (leg) and right guard Tyler Steen (ankle). Toth is battling for a depth spot on the offensive line, and participating in practice increases his chances of making the 53-man roster.

  • Eagles' Brett Toth: Dealing with toe injury

Toth missed Wednesday's practice with a toe issue, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports. The Army product came over to Philadelphia after being let go by Carolina in early December of last year. He spent time with the Eagles from 2020-2021 as well, appearing in 17 games and making one start. Toth is likely fighting for a depth role on the Eagles' offensive line, so this injury could put his chances of making the 53-man roster at risk.

  • Brett Toth: Gets waived by Panthers

The Panthers waived Toth on Monday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Toth played in both guard spots for Carolina in Week 12 at Tennessee, but the Panthers have decided to part ways with him less than two weeks later. He's set to become a free agent unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period.

  • Eagles' Brett Toth: Stays in Philadelphia

Toth re-signed with the Eagles on Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Toth served as the Eagles' third-string center last year but didn't play a snap. He played 53 snaps in 2021 and 97 snaps in 2020, so he has limited experience. He'll provide depth behind starter Jason Kelce and possible top reserve Cam Jurgens.

  • Brett Toth: Done in Philly

The Eagles released Toth on Thursday. Toth spent the entirety of the 2022 campaign on the physically unable to perform list due to a knee injury that he sustained toward the end of the 2021 season. The 304-pound center is now slated to search for another opportunity to compete for a roster spot.

  • Eagles' Brett Toth: Practice window expires

Toth (knee) will stay on the PUP list for the remainder of the season after failing to be activated Wednesday. The Eagles opened Toth's 21-day practice window Jan. 5, but he'll remain sidelined for the rest of the 2022 campaign following Wednesday's update. He didn't see any game action this season after undergoing knee surgery last January.
