Commanders' Casey Toohill: Not listed on injury report
Toohill doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against Dallas, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Toohill landed in concussion protocols following the team's Week 2 loss to the Lions and was sidelined for Week 3. However, he returned to full participation during Thursday's practice and appears to be good to go for Week 4. When available, Toohill has operated as a rotational depth piece along Washington's defensive line, and he figures to resume that role now that he's healthy.

Commanders' Casey Toohill: Logs full practice Thursday
Toohill (concussion) was a full participant during Thursday's practice.
Toohill suffered a concussion during the team's Week 2 contest against Detroit, and he ultimately failed to suit up Sunday against the Eagles. Although the 26-year-old's ability to practice in full Thursday is an encouraging sign, he'll still have to clear concussion protocols prior to Sunday's matchup against Dallas. Expect to hear more regarding Toohill's Week 4 availability in coming days, but with fellow defensive end James Smith-Williams (abdomen) listed as questionable, there's a chance Washington might have to heavily lean on Montez Sweat, Shaka Toney and Efe Obada.

Commanders' Casey Toohill: Won't play Week 3
Toohill (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Eagles, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Toohill suffered a concussion during the team's Week 2 loss to the Lions and will be sidelined for at least one game. Starting defensive end James Smith-Williams (abdomen) is questionable, so Washington may head into Sunday with just two healthy defensive ends -- Shaka Toney and Montez Sweat.

Commanders' Casey Toohill: Under concussion evaluation
Toohill is temporarily sidelined while being evaluated for a concussion during Sunday's game against Detroit.
Toohill's apparent head injury should leave him questionable to return against the Lions. The 2020 seventh-round pick recorded one tackle while playing 26 of his 34 total snaps on defense in Week 1.

Football Team's Casey Toohill: Set to play Tuesday
Toohill was removed from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday and is eligible to play Tuesday against the Eagles.
It remains to be seen how impactful Toohill will be given that starting defensive end Montez Sweat (jaw) is eligible to be activated off injured reserve and four other Washington defensive linemen could still be activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list due to the NFL's newest rule change. The 25-year-old Toohill has seen at least 60 percent of the defensive snaps over the last four weeks with Washington's defensive line depth severely tested.

Football Team's Casey Toohill: Goes on COVID-19 list
Toohill was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and won't be available Sunday for Washington's game against the Cowboys.
Washington hasn't revealed whether Toohill tested positive for the virus or was deemed a close contact of an infected person, but in any case, he'll be the fifth member of the Football Team this week to be ruled out after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Toohill's absence will further deplete Washington's depth at defensive end, as the Football Team will be without its top four options at the position. In addition to Toohill, James Smith-Williams and Montez Sweat (jaw, positive test) are on the reserve/COVID-19 list, while Chase Young (knee) is on season-ending injured reserve.

Football Team's Casey Toohill: Ready for opener
Toohill (toe) wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report.
Toohill won't have much of a role on defense as long as Chase Young and Montez Sweat are healthy. As a rookie in 2020, Toohill posted two tackles across nine games between Philadelphia -- who drafted him in the seventh round -- and Washington.
