Pete Robertson: Cut by Arizona
The Cardinals waived Robertson on Tuesday per the NFL's official transaction page.
The 27-year-old was activated to the 53-man roster from the practice squad Nov. 8, but only suited up in two games for the team, unable to secure a fantasy-relevant stat. Robertson will hit the open market looking for a reserve role, as he's appeared in just six games in his NFL career.

Cardinals' Pete Robertson: Promoted to active roster
Robertson was signed to the Cardinals' active roster Friday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Robertson's promotion comes on the heels of Brooks Reed being placed on injured reserve. The edge rusher is currently a depth option behind starters Terrell Suggs (hamstring) and Chandler Jones, but he is an injury away from playing a significant role in the Cardinals' defense.

Redskins' Pete Robertson: Impressing in camp
Robertson, who was dealing with an injured shoulder at the end of last season, has impressed coach Jay Gruden throughout training camp, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Robertson is back at full strength and will be an under-the-radar option at linebacker to keep an eye on throughout camp. He notched four tackles in as many games during his first year in the league last season.

Pete Robertson: Waived by Washington
Robertson was waived by the Redskins on Monday.
The depth linebacker became an expendable asset when the team opted to bring in more interior lineman help. Washington claimed offensive tackle Kyle Kalis off waivers Monday, all but closing the door on Robertson's time in the Nation's Capital.

Redskins' Pete Robertson: Promoted from practice squad
The Redskins signed Robertson off their practice squad Tuesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Robertson has been working out at both inside and outside linebacker since joining the Redskins' practice squad, so he'll bring some versatility to the second level. While it's unlikely that Robertson will see extended snaps on defense during his time with Washington, the depth he'll provide isn't insignificant with Will Compton (foot) and Mason Foster (shoulder) on injured reserve and three of the team's other linebackers on the injury report heading into Thursday's game against the Giants.
