Rams' A.J. Rose: Leaving Los Angeles
The Rams opted to waive Rose on Saturday, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
Rose was fighting an uphill battle to earn a spot on the Rams' final 53-man roster and ultimately did not make enough of an impression. The team opted to let him and Raymond Calais go as they look to trim their roster before final cuts. He will now be forced to look for a new landing spot.

Rams' A.J. Rose: Scores in win
Rose logged eight rushes for 19 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 29-22 win over the Chargers.
Rose was able to find pay dirt in the second quarter, punching in a one-yard touchdown to tie the game at seven. Rose also contributed the longest rush by a Rams running back in the game, albeit for just nine yards, but he only managed nine yards on his remaining six carries. Rose sits firmly on the roster bubble while trying to earn a spot backing up starters Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson.

Rose was with the Vikings earlier in the offseason before he was waived June 1 to clear up a roster spot for wide receiver Albert Wilson. Rose took the lead of the backfield with Dalvin Cook resting in the preseason opener. He entered the game after Ameer Abdullah accounted for 25 of the team's 36 total rushing attempts. Rose showed some flashes with the opportunity, with his longest gain of the day going for 16 yards along with chunk gains of seven and eight yards.
