Chappell (undisclosed) was waived from injured reserve by the Vikings on Tuesday. Chappell has spent the entirety of the 2026 regular season on IR with Minnesota, but he will now hit the open market. The cornerback will be placed on waivers, and if he goes unclaimed, he'll have the chance to pass a physical and play elsewhere this year.

Chappell (undisclosed) reverted to the Vikings' injured reserve list Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log. Chappell was waived with an injury designation by the Vikings on Monday and went unclaimed. The undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M will now miss the entirety of the 2026 regular season unless he is waived with an injury settlement.
