Davis Cheek: Gets let go

Carolina waived Cheek on Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Cheek joined Carolina in May as an undrafted free agent out of Elon. However, with the recent addition of Baker Mayfield, Cheek became expendable with Matt Corral, P.J. Walker and Sam Darnold also on the roster as options at quarterback.
