  • Bears' Braxton Jones: Will be limited to begin camp

    Jones (undisclosed) will be limited during the start of training camp, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. Per Sean Hammond of Shaw Local, Jones' injury is a carryover from OTAs/minicamp. Head coach Matt Eberflus indicated Saturday that the injury is "nothing major" and said that the starting left tackle is close to being back at full speed.

  • Bears' Braxton Jones: Active Sunday

    Jones (neck) is active ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints. The 24-year-old tackle was activated off injured reserve Saturday, and he's set to appear in his first game since the Bears' Week 2 loss to the Buccaneers. Jones is expected to reclaim his starting left tackle spot from Larry Borom this Sunday.

    Jones (neck) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers, Adam Jahns of The Athletic reports. Jones was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, and he returned to practice in a limited fashion throughout the week. Even though he returned to practice, head coach Matt Eberflus told reporters Friday that the 24-year-old tackle will be a "no go" for this Sunday's contest. Larry Borom is expected to start at left tackle until Jones is ready to return.
